There were certainly a lot of broken hearts and emotional roller coasters recently, so the Heavens have decided it's time to allow their people to let loose and have some fun for a little while. Through some magic - or possibly just a lot of money - they have managed to rent out an entire private beach for the event so that they won't be interrupted by any Near Shore residents. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the ocean goes for as far as the eye can see, and rocky outcroppings offer a handy place to dive into the water on a test of courage.

It's a beautiful summer day, perfect for swimming and cracking watermelons and playing some beach volleyball. There's even some soft music permeating the air so that nothing is every silent on this fun-filled day.

New arrivals, after having been met at the Meeting Hall, would have been immediately redirected to this party. After all, they should be enjoying themselves as well.

Playful Fish

The sea critters are excited about the party too. They're happy to swim up to anyone in the water and will even come up to the shallows to take a look at the fun happening on the shore. Toe nibbling and brushes of scales are in your future, so you'd better get used to the idea if you plan on being in the water.

Barbecue

Some basics have been provided, but everyone has been asked to bring a little something to the barbecue as well if they can. So you're more than welcome to grab one of the many grills and start frying things up. Heck, there are even fishing poles available if you feel like hauling in a few of those friendly fish to grill. Additionally, summery drinks have been provided, including iced tea, lemonade, water, and horribly fruity cocktails.

After Dark

Just because the sun is down doesn't mean that the party's stopping! The barbecue will continue well into the night, lit now by the stars and a huge, roaring bonfire. The bonfire is maintained by Amaterasu's shinki and climbs higher than any bonfire has the right to. Also, there are floating lights in the water so that people can continue swimming now that it's dark. And if you happen to get too drunk to go home, don't worry. A white-clad shinki will be happy to put you back to bed at the end of the night. Additionally, some sparklers and small bottle rockets have been provided for your entertainment.

[Yukine waited a long time for this. The perfect pieces of beef, flame-charbroiled to perfection, the juices still bubbling as they are placed on his paper plate.

With a happy and satisfied chuckle he steps back from the grills, raises his chopsticks-- and then his vision is filled with a blur of white.]

What-?!

[Before he can even orient himself his plate is gone, he's tipped backwards to fall unsteadily to the sand, and then--

There is a white dog. A really cute white dog--! Eating his beef!!]

H-hey! That's mine!

[Or maybe 'was' his.]

[NOT NO MORE IT ISN'T.

Ammy had been eyeballing those beef tips, had been salivating at how they smelled, how they appeared, seared to a fine crisp on the outside...but dripping with their appetizing juices the moment those chopsticks gripped a plump cube of meat together. Honestly, it was like a masterpiece of the senses, each one attacking the poor wolf in succession that she could not overpower her greed and her gluttony. She had to have them. By any means possible.

Hey, just because she's a god doesn't mean she's perfect! Gods get hungry, too!!

She slurps up the one strip of beef like her life depended on it, looking the guilty party as she hurries to get away with the remnants of the plate. It's hard to keep them all on aforementioned plate as she tries to make her get away, a few pieces falling into the sand (TRAJEDY...she'll come back for it), but Ammy does her best to juggle her loot and properly make away with it - a task harder than one would imagine. Good lord, it's like dodge blows from the crazyTurnip lady all over again...]

Oi-

[Damn, okay, that guilty look is really cute and doesn't help- but facts are facts and while there's still beef to be salvaged from the thief, Yukine's going for it. (Those few pieces landing in the sand are super tragic, it's true.)

So as the dog tries to make a getaway with his plate, Yukine scrambles to his feet. But rather than chase her, he makes a long gesture with his hand.]

Stop right there!

[A borderline flashes into being ahead of the dog, a wall to stop the thief. Well, hopefully a soft wall- Yukinke hasn't tried it before, but he tries willing his line to not be rock-hard. He doesn't want to hurt her, after all.]

[Ammy isn't looking back, she's already committed to the getaway, and the grass and budding flowers that trail behind where her paws touch the earth appear and disappear leave behind her path of wrongdoing. Thankfully, she's faster than the life of the life that flutters behind her, but the wolf's escape is short-lived. With a startled noise, ears pointing up and out because what the heck, she tries to put the pedal to the metal and stop herself.

It's no use, her fan given title of Full Throttle Ammy is a blessing and a curse, and the poor wolf smacks hard into the barricade meant to stop her. A-At least is wasn't rock (though she's quite durable), but as she hits the wall hard, bouncing back slightly, she tries to orient herself and shake away the dizzying stars circling her skull. The poor plate, by the by, seems to have suffered the worst fate however....

Each and every piece of meat has splattered messily on the wall and ground, painting a somber tale of defeat. Truly there is something to be learned from this, but Ammy is still reeling. Give her a minute.]

[Yes, he got her--]

Ack-! [Nooooo, the meat!

Catching up to the dog he sinks to his knees before her and the ruined beef.]

Ughhhh, what a waste! [Yukine then rounds on the dog, upset but at least not angry. (At least, not as angry as he would be against someone like, say, Yato.)]

Bad dog! What did you do that for? If you'd asked me, I'd have just given you some!

[With a disgruntled sound he frowns at the dog while reaching out to take her by the scruff of the neck.]

You've got to get off this beach-- [And then, as he is now getting a good look at her, he notices red markings on her. He squints at them a little. They don't quite look like kanji but-]

...

...

Nah, you can't be a shinki. Stuff has been weird, but I don't think we'd get a dog as a shinki.

[Standing, he tries to lead the dog along by the scruff.]

Come on.

[Ammy's still dizzy, but a few shakes of her head shakes away the stars dancing before her eyelids, though it's not enough time to save her from getting grabbed by the angry youngster. She makes a high-pitched yelp, more out of surprise than anything else, and looks around in confusion. What the heck just happened, seriously?! Just a second ago, she's making her get away, and the next there's a dang wall that appears out of no where?! Was that some kind of--

THE MEAT!! D8

Dark eyes catch the splatter on the wall, the chunks that have fallen to the sand or just...stuck to the surface. Her mouth falls open in incredulous horror, then clamps shut. There's a moment of silence (outside of Yukine's hollering), before the wolf's eyes narrow like he's the one at fault here and her lips roll back over sharp, pointed teeth, a low growl rumbling menacingly in her throat. Now, she has never bitten a human before, and never will unless it's necessary, but...hoo boy.

Mama not happy. And she doesn't budge a darn inch when he pulls. Ammy may be small for a wolf, but she's sturdy and strong, especially when giving in to her stubbornness.]
