Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!

Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

God Training/Shinki Training

There is a mysterious man (?) walking about in full fencing padded armor and a facemask. He has a fencing saber with him, but he's also got a small buckler too. He'll mingle among both god and shinki, not minding about the rules for pairing up with your type. He also won't speak unless it's someone he doesn't recognize.

Refreshments

Only when Bishamon and Kazuma are well out of view, preferably her other shinki too, will Schuldig lift his facemask to take a drink or two, grabbing snacks and towelling his face off. The suit's hot after all! Just a requirement to get in when the Lady of the House is looking for you. He's trying to scope out the competition, not get killed.

[When Schuldig goes to grab a snack off the table, a small hand brushes against his. Goten blinks when their hands collide as he follows the hand up the owner's arm to his covered face. He stares up at him for a second, there's something about the armor guy that feels familiar.

But Goten's stomach is quick to give a loud grumble set him back on track. Right, food! He picks up the pastry he was reaching for. He takes a big bite before peeking back up at the god. With his other hand he picks up a second pastry and holds it up to the masked guy]

You wanted one too, right? Here! They're really good!

[Well shit. Here's someone he was worried about bumping into. Schuldig doesn't say anything at first, wondering if it's possible to play with the boy's mind enough to just... convince him that he doesn't recognize Schuldig's voice. Disassociating with the face definitely would help... But he'll have to think on that a bit more while he reacts to the surprise reunion.

For now, Schuldig just accepts the treat and nods slowly, bowing slightly at the waist as if he was Japanese.]

[Goten smiles a little when he takes the treat. Luckily there's enough for the both of them, sort of. The kid is a bottomless pit but he at at least has some manners to consider those around him.]

Have you learned a lot? I sorta did. I went over to the god side thinking maybe I could learn some of their stuff but Bishamon said shinki can't learn god stuff. But gods can't learn some shinki stuff either.

[The only thing that keeps him from rambling on is the he's stuffing another pastry into his mouth. So good!]

[Slowly, Schuldig nods, then he attempts one thing: ]

Yes.

[But as he says it, with the facemask down, he tries to convince the boy that this isn't a voice he recognizes, by way of a telepathic suggestion. It's probably the shortest verbal response he's given, but he really wants to make sure - or see if he needs to bolt immediately.]

[Swallowing the mouthful, Goten looks back up to the masked follow, tilting his head to the side curiously. Such a short answer. He doesn't seem fimilar really at all but that's no surprise since the guy is so covered up. If anything, it just makes the boy that much more curious.]

Have you been here long? Are you a shinki or a god? If you're bored we can work off the food and spar a bit!

[Goten smiles, trying to be friendly because this guy seems really shy]

[Well that seemed to work. Good, now he could actually hang around and keep up his surveillance activities.]

Not too long. I think a 'god'?

[He tries to play it off as unsure as many of the new gods always are.]

I think gods and shinki aren't supposed to be paired up today, are they? Even though they normally are...?

You donno what you are? It should be super obvious! Do you have a shrine or anything? Or were you paired up with someone when you first showed up? You gotta know which is which, it isn't hard!

[But if he is new, Goten can't blame him. It was pretty confusing when he showed up too--and he didn't have memories to worry about to mix things up even more!]

Gods and shinki are usually together but I think they want everyone to get stronger at what they are. Like borderline stuff is for shinki and Yukine taught me that. He's gonna show me spells too. It's gonna be fun. ---But, uh, I donno what the gods do. I betcha if you ask some of the other gods then they'll be able to tell you better then me.

[Schuldig chuckles as Goten rambles. If it keeps the kid here, then it means he can try to work his way in.]

Well, thank you very much for explaining all of that...

[And Schuldig extends his hand to try and shake with Goten. If he can, then at least he can steal his name back from Goten's memory.]

[Goten nods eagerly. So he explained it well? Awesome! He's actually been helpful to someone new! He beams up at Schuldig until he extends his hand. He looks at the hand slowly before reaching out-]

No problem mister!

[-and puts another pasty in his open hand. The guy seemed hungry after all. Double the helpfulness!]

Hey do you fight at all? We can spar if you're any good! Even if you're not good, I'll go easy on you, promise!

[Urgh! That's not what he wanted. He pinches it between two fingers though, and then uses his other ones to slowly remove the glove on his other hand. At least he can't look irritated behind the mask.]

Sure, I'll spar with you - I'm quite good, actually. But-

[And here he extends his bare hand in much the same position as before.]

I'll only spar after a gentlemanly handshake to get us started.

You are?!

[That seals the deal. Goten is so ready go]

Gentlemanly?

[He blinks at the word and Schuldig's hand before reaching out and grabbing tightly in his own. Of course his tiny hand is sticky because he was shoving food into his mouth just a moment ago. Jelly-filed donuts just don't clean up well even if you lick it all off. Sorry about that but he did want a handshake, right?]

[He takes Goten's hand and does regret it a little bit. Kids. Damn kids and their messy hands, getting them in everything. He'd be glad to have finished with Goten after this - or so he hoped.]

I sure am.

[And with that he steals the memory back of Goten knowing what Schuldig's real name is aside from Loki. They aren't talking about Loki right now, so he's hoping it's not something Goten will even notice.]

Let me just wash my hand...

[He pulls his away to put it in an outdoor sink, then grabs a washcloth.]

And we can have that spar. Go find us a spot, will ya?

[Something feels off for just a second. But Goten can't really place it so he shrugs it off and focuses more on the chance to spar. Letting go of Schuldig hand, he salutes with it]

Okay! I'll find us a good spot, mister! But don't take forever okay?

[He bounces off, trying to find a clearing for the two of them. This is going to be great!]

[That worked out incredibly well for him. He's not only sure as a telepath that Goten didn't notice it beyond a passing thought flitting out of his mind, but he's also sure that a kid as expressive as Goten would have absolutely visually displayed an awkward feeling if he'd really felt it that deeply.]

Nope, I definitely won't.

[And Schuldig walks as casually as he can from rinsing off his hand from the kid-gunk towards where Goten is set up. The kid doesn't even realize it's him, so he can use all of his telepathic dodging powers. He just doesn't plan on using his teleportation, since most new gods don't naturally tap into that ability.]

Ready when you are.

[Goten is stretching by the time Schuldig walks back over. First the legs, then the arms and a few quick jabs at the air and he's all ready to go! He perks at Schuldig, grin growing]

Okay! Whatever you say! Here I come!

[His legs spread apart for a more solid stance and his arms lift up as his body eases naturally into position. It's something his body instinctively does out of pure muscle memory. It just feels right!

But it only lasts for a few moments before he kicks off the ground and flies at Schuldig. Goten's attacks are straightforward, aiming to throw a punch at the taller god's middle and follow up with his second fist.]
