Who: Julian, Nyanta
What: Answering prayers
Where: Some poor sleepless sap's apartment
When: June 19
Warnings: None, these two are wholesome
[Julian was used to being called at all sorts of hours for medical emergencies, he didn't have a large staff on DS9 and unless he was explicitly away from the station, even when he was off-duty he was normally on-call.
This was a little different.
Small prayers for health and recovery usually righted themselves with some rest and medication, larger ones needed to be a bit more hands-on. This one, the same person had been asking for help for a few weeks now.
The doctors I've been to can't do anything. They just give me drugs and send me home. I can't sleep...I'm so tired, help me, please...
Allergies were by and large no longer a concern in Julian's time, at least for humans, so he'd had to take a few days to read up on treatment options. Going and taking away their symptoms was one thing, but long-term health required a little something else. So, after said research, he's dragged Nyanta along with to go help.]
Well, let's hope that they're not allergic to cats, shall we?
[Julian knocks, even though it feels a bit strange to do so with literally no one else on the street paying attention to them.]

No worries, nya. I've come prepared. I won't leave a single hair behind.

He's hoping it won't be an issue, in all honesty.
They're about to find out, as the door creaks open and an absolutely miserable looking, red-nosed, and watery-eyed young woman blinks at them.
Well. Mostly at Nyanta. Julian's downright normal-looking next to her, walking staff with a snake curled lazily around it or not.]
Good evening. We're here for something of a house call. You've been having troubles with allergies?
[She nods, sneezes, and Julian winces in sympathy. Her immune system is going absolutely crazy, he can feel it.]

We do apologize for dropping in so suddenly. May we come in?

[She backs up and starts swiping tissues off the table into the trash can while continuing to stammer.]
It's alright, we're here to help.
[He's psyched himself up to say this, because it seems ridiculous and yet it would be doing it 'right', so to speak. Urgh.]
I'm Asclepius. This is my associate, Nyanta.

[He motions to Julian to go in first.]
Shall I get some tea going while I search the kitchen?
no subject
That would be perfect, thank you.
[The girl stammers:]
S-search the kitchen? What are you looking for?
[Julian doesn't necessarily want to say 'ayakashi', he hasn't seen anything yet to indicate they need to worry about that, that this isn't entirely mundane, but.]
Anything obvious. Now, surely your doctors have at least eliminated some causes of your allergies, could you please tell me what they've found so far?
[As Nyanta is off making tea and investigating, he'll hear low murmured conversation--there's one sneezing fit before Julian uses his abilities to get rid of the antihistamines in her system and calm the immune response.]

Since that kettle wasn't going to be ready anytime soon, Nyanta examines the rest of the kitchen. Given this poor woman's setback, the kitchen was slightly neglected with a few dirty dishes and sink. Thankfully, he hasn't spotted any mold, or roaches. He's not about to let down his guard though. After all, given how small the apartment was, Nyanta would have a disadvantage should a fight with an Ayakashi break out. ]

It's hard to sleep, I know. You should be fine for tonight, but I can't take them away forever, I'm afraid.
[At least if it's not a supernatural cause. He smiles, producing a vial of medication.]
Don't give up on the doctor's, they'll get it right. For now, take this when you're going to sleep, it'll relieve the symptoms and you'll be able to rest.
