What: Hibiki won hot spring tickets. This is what passes for a training camp in CelePara.

[ A private overnight at a hot springs resort is the only part of Hibiki’s grand prize from the shopping district lottery she’d wanted. Rather than go completely by herself, however, she’s invited Natsuru, Kuroyukihime, Venus, and Wendy along - one part reward for Tanabata, one part Important Training. The more elite atmosphere to which Hibiki can expose Natsuru, the more the girl will be influenced! The more refined Japanese environments in which Kuroyukihime finds herself, the more she’ll grow into the motifs bestowed upon her by the god in whose temple she resides!

Venus and Wendy are, of course, here to make tea. Hibiki is making a special exception and drinking only green tea this trip - that’s the role - but the frequency with which she requires this beverage merits having her own supply on hand in addition to the inn’s.

The hot spring has been completely reserved for their group. This wasn’t quite what had been written on the tickets, but Hibiki went out to the casino, exerted her sensitivity to the number 1, and then booked the whole place herself the next morning. This means they have far more rooms at their disposal than they need, should anyone happen to have overheard plans about this trip….and the hired help is unlikely to notice any extra guests from the Far Shore….

….Granted, if you aren’t currently working with her, Hibiki will not be pleased to see you. But who cares? Hot spring!

a. Public bath

[ Elfnein ended up getting taken to the hot springs by mistake, someone thought she was with Hibiki's group and now she's in the bath with a towel covering her chest. ]

b. Common area

[ After the nice relaxing bath Elfnein is in the common area where the vending machines are getting a bottle of milk to drink. Of course she has plans to try table tennis and the other games that are out for the guests to use. ]

Hm?

[ Hibiki doesn't need milk; she has a cup of green tea, thanks. But she's still passing the vending area, a towel draped atop her head with the confident nonchalance of someone who Gives No Damns, and is surprised to see this person.

That's....from Preece. The god who worships other gods. ] You...

[ Did the child have so little presence no one noticed her tagging along? ]

Ah.. hello

[ Elfnein is a little surprised that someone noticed her since she's just going with the flow of things. ]

Why are you here?

[ She's not even mad. She's just. Baffled. She notices everything. Everything. That is what a genius does. That is what Shikyoin Hibiki does.

So, how??? ]

I was brought here by mistake and no one noticed.

[ Doesn't mean she can't enjoy the hot springs. ]

I see.

[ She nods, musing aloud to herself. ] That seems plausible.

[ Believe it or not, that's a compliment. She often defaults to suspecting people of lying, or at least of having ulterior motives. ]

[alchemists]

I'm sorry about all this, I didn't mean to intrude on your trip.

[priforprince]

[ ....be that as it may, what to do? On the one hand, this was not accounted for in Hibiki's plans. On the other hand, it's not like the child takes up much space or requires looking after. If anything, observing CelePara at work (...by being at rest) might be good for her, with her limited ability to awe.

Hibiki sighs, rubbing the side of her head with two fingers. ] Pay it no mind. You may learn from our example by witnessing it.

[ One uninvited guest is hardly going to break the universe - or Hibiki's composure. The trip's objectives can still be met. In fact, they may be exceeded! ] That should also increase your followers.

[ See? She remembered! ]

[ Elfnein has a bad feeling about this, but maybe being flashy and standing out will get her more followers. Even though she can't sing or dance... ]

Entertaining people is more of Maria's job though.

[ aaaand that would be Hibiki's mind, reining in short. One can almost hear the horses being pulled to a stop, and the carriage wheels creaking.

Okay, not really. All she does is blink, and look curious. But that's what it feels like inside. ]

..."Maria"?

Maria Cadenzavna Eve?

[ It's kind of hard to imagine you knowing many people, period. And yet, you know Hibiki's Queen of Rivals? ]

That's the only Maria I know.

[ It's not like there is anyone else with that name here. ]

You know Maria Cadenzavna Eve.

[ Just. Confirming that. We are all on the same page of the script now.

Hibiki is looking at Elfnein in a new light, now. Opposites attracting? Maria's maternal streak? Or... ]

Yes, Maria is a very kind person and she's helped me out a lot back home.

You're - from the same world?

[ Further confirmation that happens: Check.

Slight indignation it happened to you and not to her: Also check. ]

Ridiculous.

[ You'd never survive Mad Pax: Pury Road. Or is even that impression she'd gotten of Maria's world incorrect? ]

I play a support role for those in S.O.N.G, I've been improving their symphogears and doing medical check up reports and things like that.

[ That and helping stop ms. kill all the miracles ]

[ Those are a lot of terms that Hibiki does not know! Fortunately, she is not the sort of idiot who lets that deter her from reading context. And life makes more sense again.

Blinking, she sighs. That had been close. ] A backstage role, then. I suppose you'll be joining Sparkle Motion, as well...

[ Her opponents increaseth. But only Maria has seemed worthy of the moniker "rival" thus far. ]

Sparkle Motion?

[ Is that a group name or something else that's god related... ]

I wouldn't join without knowing what it is first.

[ Hibiki snorts. ] No one requires that information.

[ If only Maria were flying solo.

If only Maria were under her wing.

There have been an awful lot of flight metaphors bandied around CelePara lately. ]

That isn't helping your case.

[ She's not going to explain. You're not one of her Princesses. You cannot make her do what she does not wish to do.

So, back to the point of this conversation. She definitely isn't a "friend of a friend is a friend" person, but she also can't deny she's a little more curious about you, now. What's the appeal? ]

How did you meet Maria? I know she has been here for a longer amount of time but she wasn't singing as an idol full time before I arrived here.

In a way it's almost a relief. Maria deserves a more luxurious stage. ]

She was singing with Tsubasa, though when I arrived at S.O.N.G shortly after their London concert, their idol jobs were put on hold till things were resolved.

[ It's hard to hold idol concerts when the big bad keeps attacking every duet. ]

I see. Truly, an unfortunate circums---

[ Her cup of tea, lacking a stem as it does, begins to slip in her grip. ]

She has blue hair, and is slightly grumpy but talks very bluntly.

[ Though Tsubasa has no memory of any of the other geah users and Elfnein has been trying not to get in the way of her being a shinki. ]
