Who:

When: July 14thish
Where: Lance's temple.
What: Lookin' for a place to stay ayyy.
[It's been a couple of days since Sasuke disappeared, along with his temple, leaving Keith with pretty much no idea of what to do next. It's been a couple of days since he gathered up whatever he had left and set out to... maybe try and find out what happened? He wasn't sure, really, between remembering his god mentioning having issues with loyalty, and the fact that sometimes people simply vanish from the Far Shore without a trace, the outcome here could go either way, he figures.
It's after a couple of days that he figures he should probably slow down, though. He has no home base, nowhere to really be stopping to rest, and it's definitely starting to wear him down. Which is how he came to find himself in front of the temple of Tlaloc. It is, if nothing else, a place he should by all means be allowed to crash at, should he need it. But now that he's in front of it... he's suddenly feeling unsure on how to go about getting in. Is Lance even there?? He has no idea!
After a few moments of hesitation, standing awkwardly at the entrance of the temple, Keith fishes his phone out of the bag slung over his shoulder.]
Are you home right now?
[Surely, surely this isn't a terribly awkward way to go about this. The text is sent off to Lance, and now he waits.]

Are you home right now?
[Surely, surely this isn't a terribly awkward way to go about this. The text is sent off to Lance, and now he waits.]

Lance peers out the nearest window towards the door. Welp. There's Keith. He shoots off another quick text as he heads to the door.]
wtf dude
[The moment he reaches the door, he opens it up and narrows his eyes at Keith.]
...you know you can just come in, right?
no subject
I'm coming in now then.
[Yeah sure that works.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah, like I said, you could've done it anyway geez...
no subject
I'll... keep that in mind.
[Like he didn't really expect it to be okay in the first place, or something.]
no subject
Lance rolls his eyes so hard.]
Look, you're my shinki. So... mi casa es su casa and all that.
[He waves a hand vaguely.]
no subject
[It still feels weird, considering how little time the two of them actually spend bonding as a team, or anything like that.
Regardless, he'll enjoy this bit of time afforded to him to not open up about what's going on. There's something inherently comforting about being inside a temple where he 'belongs' after spending so much time trekking around outside, after all.]
no subject
He crosses his arms over his chest, eyeing the other boy up and down.]
...you want a sandwich or something?
[Yeah, that's how you help.]
no subject
but another part of him is actually really hungry, and the offer for a sandwich is awesome to that part of him.]
That... sounds nice.
no subject
Alright then. One sandwich, coming right up!
[He gestures to a couch.]
You can, you know, sit down while you wait.
no subject
Okay, this is nice. Maybe he didn't quite realize how tired he was until he let himself relax.
But, yeah, form here, he's probably gonna be pretty quiet unless Lance speaks up first.]
no subject
He sets the sandwiches on the coffee table and holds a bottle out to Keith.]
Not really sure what you like, so I just made you what I like. Hope that's okay.
no subject
Honestly, anything sounds good right now.
[If the growling of his stomach wasn't enough to make that point obvious. Let's chow down my dude!!]
no subject
Well then eat up. I mean, it's meant for you too anyway, you know?
[Ugh, this is awkward. Lance promptly shoves a bite of food into his mouth. Mmmm, sandwich.]
no subject
No talking, only food now.]
no subject
Dude. Have you not been eating???? You've gotta take care of yourself better!
[Some indignation.]
no subject
actually no he has something snide to say about this so he might as well.]
I already died once, what's the worst that could happen here?
[It... really doesn't seem like not taking care of himself is going to re-kill him, or anything? He's tired, and low on energy, but it's not like there's any sort of edge for him to get pushed over.]
no subject
And then promptly smacks the back of his head.]
What the heck is your problem?! Don't say stuff like that! Take care of yourself, and no arguments!
[He got... weirdly mad about that. Okay.]
no subject
Look, I'm just... ['Tired as hell my dude.'] I've been busy, okay?
[Leave him alone!!]
no subject
You know that I can feel what you're feeling, right?
[He lets out a groan.]
This explains why I've been feeling so bad lately, geez...
no subject
[He hasn't figured that out yet???]
no subject
Yeah, dude! I can tell you're feeling...
[He leans in, squinting at Keith.]
Confused and ... abandoned?
no subject
. . . Sasuke disappeared.
[All right, if we're getting straight to the point of the matter, then so be it. Clearly there's no reason to dance around the subject if his own feelings are that apparent, but it still does sound like the statement is one he has to drag out of himself.]
no subject
Oh... Keith, I'm so sorry.
[Especially since Sasuke seemed like a cool dude and... well... Keith obviously liked him better than Lance.]
no subject
It's not like we were particularly close or anything, but it didn't seem right to not look for him. [And, even now, he still wants to go back out and do some more searching.]
no subject
Yeah. I get that.
[He sighs and leans back.]
Hey, if you want some help, I can definitely lend you a hand...
no subject
I dunno. [He doesn't like feeling so indecisive about what he wants to do from here, but right now,] I'm just kinda tired now. It's been a few days. I heard that gods can disappear for good without a trace, and that's... probably what happened here. [Hmm.] He mentioned having problems with sticking around in groups before, so I thought, maybe...
[You know.]
no subject
You were hoping he'd just run off for a bit. I get it.
[He gestures around, widely.]
Well, you really are welcome to stay. I've got a room made up for you and everything. So you don't even have to sleep on the couch.
no subject
His temple disappeared and everything... [He sighs, heavy and tired. But, the offer is actually pretty welcome, he's just having a lot of trouble expressing it well in this state.] Thanks. [So heartfelt.] I mean, even a couch would be better than nothing.
no subject
[At least not without Keith. Nope.]
So you'll have a room here for as long as you're here.
[He puffs up. Hoping he seems cool.]
no subject
[He isn't... mad about it, exactly. It's a frustrating prospect, and part of him is just being combative because it feels like the natural thing to do in this situation, but he also doesn't really want to even start to get his hopes up that anything is really permanent here.
But,] I'll take the room as long as it's here. I'm your shinki too, after all.
no subject
You let me worry about that, Keith-y boy. I promise they can't force me away. I'm too stubborn.
[...ah, but yay! Keith is gonna be staying with him! That fills Lance with warm fuzzies.]
Great! I'll... uh... make sure everything's not dusty, then. So you can... avoid allergies or something.
no subject
...
He'll let it slide. For now.]
How kind of you. [Even in this circumstance, he can't stop himself from getting a snide comment in. Excellent.]
no subject
Lance narrows his eyes.]
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm, Mullet?
[Ohgodno, not with that nickname.]
no subject
How about we don't do this right now?
[As if he didn't start it or something.]
no subject
Right. Right. Sorry.
[He runs a hand through his hair.]
Ugh. I'm just gonna... go then. Let me know if you need anything. Okay?
no subject
I mean it, though. Thanks.
[It's kind of a hard point to reiterate, but he does sound sincere about it at least.]
