Who: Yona and castmates/adjacent CR
When: The days after the Age-Swap Event
Where: Yona's Temple
What: Catch-all to deal with fallout from the new arrivals and things discovered during the age swap event. Also probably a picnic.


[ The day after time is restored to normal, Yona sticks close to her temple, mind still reeling from what she had learned and the hectic events of the past few days. Between the arrival of her two newest shinki and some of the conversations she'd had with companions over the past few days, taking some time to process it seems the wisest of ideas.

But even though she doesn't venture far from her own temple, it doesn't mean she doesn't welcome anyone who stops by for a visit, clearly happy to greet anyone who stops by. Especially if they are people she needed to talk with anyway.

As for those staying in her temple, she does her best to make sure they get settled and comfortable, answering any questions she can to try and make this new arrangement as smooth as possible. And if there's a sudden resurgence of bad dreams in the aftermath of one particular shinki coming back to live in this place with her... well. She does her best to hide the evidence of it. ]

[It's not any surprise really for Izumo to suddenly come over to stay at least a couple of days at Yona's temple. With how big her temple is and the many rooms that's been offered, Izumo would usually choose it as his go-to place to hide if he ever felt the need for it.

But it's really after he's sure Mikoto's safe in Totsuka's temple that he wanders back again. He's fortunate that Nanako's healed a majority of his injuries that it's a bit easier to hide from Yona as he comes back.

So, it wouldn't be surprising for Yona to find Izumo on a balcony somewhere, cigarette in hand as he seems to be gazing up at the sky.]

Izumo?

[ Yona's had her hands a little full getting everyone else settled into their new rooms as well as juggling the chaos from whatever had happened to everyone in the days following. His familiar figure is enough to catch her attention as she changes direction and comes to greet him. ]

I didn't realize you were here. Is everything alright?

[Upon hearing Yona's voice, Izumo turns to face her and smiles.]

Everything's fine, Yona.

[He looks at her curiously.]

What about you? I've heard you running all over the place lately.

[ She smiles, her expression a hint rueful at that. ]

Well. You probably heard right. Between unexpectedly being given a new pair of shinki and everything that happened with people changing ages.... It's been quite the hectic few days, hasn't it?

How are you? Shizuo told me what happened at the bar.

[toremainbehind]

It has. [A faint grimace.] Which reminds me, I apologize for my god crashing through your temple.

[Safely assuming Izumo's received some word about that by now.

A blink before he sighs heavily, shoulders slumping.]

I'm coping. Fortunately, reparations are back on schedule.

[ Yona blinks. And then starts to laugh. ]

It's not your fault. besides it certainly... livened my day up. I can see why you'd have your hands full with him, though. Is he alright?

I'm sorry about your bar, though. Are you feeling any better?

He's alright. Currently resting up in a friend's temple since he tired himself out.

[He rubs the back of his neck.] Though, he's still a bit of a pain.

[Izumo looks at her before he nods.]

I am.

I imagine so. I'm glad he's not too badly injured.

[ She comes to lean on the railing beside him, giving him a faint smile. ]

Good, I'm glad. I was worried. I think Shizuo might have been as well. But either way, we're happy to have you staying with us again. Even if things are... a bit more lively around here than the last time you stayed. [ Her smile is a little sheepish at that. ]

It'll take a lot for him to get injured.

[Temple-crashing aside.

He chuckles, shaking his head.]

I'll admit it's starting to feel like a second home to me. A bit glad that I've yet to run into your new shinki, though. ["No offense."]

[ She doesn't take offense, just laughs softly. ]

You're welcome to think of it as such. You're always welcome here, Izumo.

And don't worry, I'm certain they'll like you as well. If you'd prefer, I can introduce you? Otherwise, I'd imagine you'd run into them before long. Oh, and some of the others are coming over for a picnic in the orchard later. You're welcome to come join us? We'd love to have you.

[He laughs as well.]

That's good to know. Shizuo's told me, but it never hurts to hear it from you personally.

[Izumo pauses, thinking.]

I'll try to come to the picnic. There are a few people I want to check up on first, but I'll do my best to make it to the picnic.

If you speak to your god, please tell him I hope he's feeling better soon. Oh, and, ah... [ She hesitates, wincing and looking sheepishly. ] Please apologize to him about the water for me?

...You splashed water on him?

[At hearing that, the shinki looks terribly amused.]

Well, he was on fire at the time!

[toremainbehind]

[Yeah, sorry, excuse him as he laughs.

But don't worry, he's not laughing at you, Yona.]

[darkestbefore]

[ She huffs out a sigh at his laughter, even if her gaze warmed a little at the sound of it, relieved that he doesn't seem upset, at least. ]

I panicked. I didn't know what else to do. He just burst into flames out of nowhere!

[He slowly calms down, though a few chuckles continue to escape from him.]

Ah, don't worry, Yona. You're definitely not the first and won't be the last person to splash water on him. It's normal for him to combust into flames.

Normal...? It is?

[ Why is that normal, Izumo? What kind of person is your god? ]

[He gives a nod.]

Remember when I threw fireballs at you the other day? Mikoto has a similar power to that.

I can see how throwing fireballs would be very useful, Izumo, but setting yourself on fire is not at all the same thing.

[ Unless you need a really big nightlight, maybe. Or a campfire? ]

No, it's not, but that would be his Aura making itself known.

[A smile.]

It's not as if he can hurt himself with his own fire, anyway.

He... can't? [ Her eyes widen slightly at that. She wishes she'd known that before she dumped a bucket of water on him. ] His 'Aura'?

That's right.

[No, Yona, just keep dumping water on Mikoto. It'll make Izumo's day so much better.

But to provide an example, he'll let his own Aura appear like he did during their training. If he was around Shizuo, the other shinki would try to attack him again, but Izumo's simply showing Yona the red Aura that surrounds him before he makes it disappear.]

[ Luckily Shizuo is probably napping on a roof somewhere, so for the moment, Yona leans closer to inspect it with fascination now that it's not being flung at her to test a theory. ]

That really is amazing, Izumo. So this is an 'Aura' too? Do you have it because your god does? What is he the god of?
