[You're killing her, kid.]

[With a hesitant smile and nod, Naoto gives in.]

A- alright then... um, lead the way then.

[kurukuruchan]

All right!

[ Beaming. The world works the way it's supposed to! Everybody does what Hibiki wants, and that will make them happy. She is sure of it.

She is sure this woman will love her tea party. So off they go! ] It's this way!

[ She tugs on Naoto's hand, then begins to run. ]

[Naoto allows herself to be tugged along, even picking up her pace to a slight jog as the girl starts increases speed.]

Um, how far are we going exactly?

[kurukuruchan]

Not very!

[ Hibiki doesn't seem to be bothered by things like "mud puddles" or "finding a clear path", though. Just in...moving. ]

[fortune_detective]

[Naoto chuckle nervously at the whole situation. Just what had she gotten herself roped into? Well... at least the little girl seemed happier. Naoto figures she just has to humor her for a little bit, and then she can get back to investigating the Far Shore and what exactly had happened to them.]

[That said, the idea of leaving the girl on her own in an empty temple didn't really sit right with her either. She sighs. She'll just have to think of something then, perhaps whoever the girl shares the temple with will return momentarily and that will give Naoto an excuse to take her leave. For now, she resigned herself to play along, letting the little girl more or less drag her along as they go.]

[kurukuruchan]

[ The girl, on the other hand, seems perfectly happy with this turn of events, and before long she's pointing up at a big white castle with entirely too many purple-roofed turrets. ]

The party's in there. It's super pretty.

[fortune_detective]

[It's hard to completely hide the look of surprise on Naoto's face when they arrive outside the castle. This was a temple? It seemed a little too... extravagant.]

This castle? You live here?

[No wonder it must have seemed so empty. Naoto cannot imagine how many people it would take to make it feel crowded.]

[kurukuruchan]

Woke up here.

[ Not particularly worried about that part. ]

This morning!

["She woke up here?" That would mean she was a god or a shinki also affected by what had happened, wouldn't it? Otherwise, she would have found herself outside the meeting hall. Still, Naoto couldn't believe a temple like this was here. Could this girl possibly be its owner?]

I- I see. Um, and you said that were by yourself? There was no one else in the castle with you?

[kurukuruchan]

[ She nods. ] Nobody came with breakfast, either.

[ THAT PART WAS REALLY DISTRESSING ]

[fortune_detective]

[Naoto chuckles nervously at that. This child must be used to quite the privileged upbringing if she's used to receiving her breakfast in bed.]

Ah, well then... um, shall we go inside?

[kurukuruchan]

Sure!

[ Though, smol person problems: ]

Get the door, okay?

[fortune_detective]

Oh, of course.

[Naoto does as requested, opening the door for the little girl before following her into the castle. Upon entering which, Naoto takes a moment to study the interior in awe. It really was, in fact, an elaborate castle with ornate decorations and everything one might expect inside such a structure.]

[kurukuruchan]

[ Hibiki doesn't seem to think anything of the decorations, for her part. She seems more excited to lead Naoto down a hallway. ]

The party is this way! The amusement park is that way.

[ There is a roller coaster down that other hall. She was not kidding. ]

[fortune_detective]

[Yeah, that's way too distracting for Naoto not to stop and stare momentarily.]

There's an actual amusement park in here? Is... is that even-- [She was about to say "possible," but, by this point, she's recognized that the word kind of frequently goes out the window here in the Far Shore.] Um, that is... it's impressive that fully functional theme park attractions fit inside this place.

[kurukuruchan]

You think?

[ Hibiki, too, pauses to consider this. ]

Home is bigger.

[fortune_detective]

[Naoto turns back to the girl, giving her the same semi-awestruck expression.]

Home? You mean from before you arrived at the Far Shore?

[kurukuruchan]

[ nod nod nod nod ]

Mm!

....If that's what this place is.

[ Far Shore? Far from what? ]
