I don't like what I'm seeing lately
Who: Sharak Sanzo and Forrest; Sharak, Celty and Gojyo; Sharak and people.
When: Early August
Where: The Near Shore and other places.
What: Prayer #47- a prayer for prom. Prayer #40- a prayer for reuniting. Then general catch-all for the month.
A. Prayer #47- closed to Forrest. August 2nd.
[To Sharak's credit, she tried. The first few prayers from a distressed teenager struggling to fit in at school may have been passed over- surely this isn't the kind of protection Aditi is meant to offer- but eventually she'd succumbed. Reflecting on some of the stories she's heard about the original Aditi, she supposes that social climbing could technically come under her dominion.
So she'd come down to the shopping mall to meet this poor girl, found her crying in a dress shop and... tried to help. A few recommendations (outfits Sharak thought looked very nice) were met with horrified stares. A speech about how conventional beauty was meaningless and that pride in yourself was what really mattered was dismissed with rolled eyes. A suggestion that the girl should just wear whatever felt right made her burst into tears.
"Nothing feels right! I may as well just go dressed like you and make it easy for them!"
Ouch. Sharak may not have been the best pick for fashion advice, it's true. She grumbles and searches through her phone contacts... Didn't she see someone talking about this sort of thing on the network a few times...
Ah, right, Lakshmi. Sharak says off a quick request for assistance, from one Hindu deity to another.]
B. Prayer #40- closed to Celty and Gojyo. August 3rd.
[This prayer is a little easier, Sharak thinks. They're back in Japan, at one of the many festivals going on around this time of year. The town itself is fairly small, but it feels like everyone from the prefecture has come to visit today and see the shrine, play games and generally have fun. The crowds are dense. Sharak turns to her two shinki, contemplating how ironic it would be if she ended up losing them in the crowd as well.]
We're looking for the kid first, then we'll get her to her parents. Her name's Fusako, sounds about eight, and probably pretty upset if she's praying to be rescued.
Ready to go?
C. Wildcard
[Plot with me on plurk or else where and we can throw it in here too.]

[Doing wonders for her badass image here. Laying around on the floor with a little kid covered in feathers.]
I'm going to have to go out there with a plate of barbecue chicken to make up for it.

[ Great, now he was imagining that very image. Damn right it does nothing for Sharak's badass reputation, and shifted her more towards that big sister kind of image and... Dammit. This is all Goten's fault.
This would be easier if Sharak didn't treat him like he was a kid that needed looking after sometimes. Which is exactly why Shizuo's getting out a cigarette to smoke before starting on anything- don't worry about messes or anything, Sharak. He's got a case for the butts and the sink will do for ashes if he's really going to be washing them. ]
That's only gonna work if you make it yourself, using one of them, y'know. I don't think they care about what you eat. Like those big goldfish... Ah, yeah, koi. They'll probably eat anything themselves, if given the chance.

I'm not sure they're smart enough to know fear, honestly. [Sharak gets out her own cigarette and puts it in her mouth, holding her hand out for Shizuo's lighter when he's done with it.] They are chickens.
[Not known for their brilliance.]

Seeing the hand held out, Shizuo adjusts his hold and hands it over without extinguishing the flame. Look, it's a really nice lighter, and exceptionally durable. It'd have to be as there's no signs that it belonged to Shizuo, with his inhuman strength ]
Even when they're dumb as shit, most creatures know how to fear shit. Trust me.
[ For, in his opinion, he's both dumb as shit and all too scared of some things. Mostly himself and what he can do, but he still had enough fear. ]

You haven't spent much time about chickens.
[She leans back again and tilts her head to the side.]
Are you afraid, Shizuo?
no subject
Which proves to be enough of a distraction for him to think of the way to answer that question. At least for a few seconds. ]
Well, it's why I asked for your help with control, isn't it? As dumb or ridiculous as it would sound to other people, what I can do and how easy it is to accidentally hurt people is probably the biggest and most constant fear I've got.
[ It's not the strength on its own, either. It's the fact that he knows he doesn't always have that emotional control. Some things could lead him to blacking out, even for a few seconds, or someone could get hurt just because he wasn't aware that they grabbed his hand quickly enough to stop himself from closing his. ]
