Who: Roxas & You! + prompt for Yuma
Where: Near Shore, Artemis’ Temple, aquarium (for Yuma)
When: April 22nd & 23rd
What: Wandering around the city, training ghost doggies, and looking at fish
Warnings: None so far?
Too much has happened again, but at least Roxas has been sleeping a lot better. Taking the advice of the him-but-not-him Roxas had paid off. Having no one hanging around but his shinki at the temple was also a welcome relief. The blond has just gotten bored since the whole mess with those drakes and that guy. Who knew he missed fighting that much.

Near Shore
[Roxas’ favorite haunts lately were any bookstores he came across. Books always had something interesting he could learn about on his never ending mission to fully understand this whole gods’ business. Besides, after learning about the Roman equivalents of the Greek pantheon has him curious about how those two compare.
The other place he’s been visiting are cafés, namely the Calico Café. Being surrounded by cats while reading and enjoying super sweet coffee was a nice way to relax. Roxas is always up for talking about whatever book he’s currently into at the moment. At least it’s not manga.
Other than that he can be found pretty much anywhere!]
Artemis’ Temple
[Grudgingly taking the advice of a fellow godtotally not Shun, Roxas has decided that maybe training the animals he’s already got would be easier than getting a new one just yet. Except he’s got a few problems.
One: Can you even train deer and a random bear to do anything?
Two: What treats do you feed ghost dogs?
At least the second one can be dealt with easier since they seem to respond to clicker training to a degree even without the treats the book suggests. Anyone who comes by, at dawn or dusk, can see the blond standing in front of his temple with said dogs. The ghostly apparitions seem to be rather large Greyhounds. Don’t worry about them attacking unless their owner tells them to.]
Prompt for Yuma!
[This Yuma might not be the one he knows from Koriko, but Roxas is still happy to see him. Of course he struck up a friendship with him right away, and at least this meeting didn’t involve the smaller boy jumping off of a roof to catch a phoenix. That was a painful encounter.
Since this Nobody has never been to an aquarium it was high time this needed to happen! So why not go with Yuma? It’ll be good to spend time with people he wasn’t constantly in contact with anyways. So Roxas waits in front of the aquarium and waits for Yuma to show up.]
Did he get lost?

[At least not enough that just mentioning them in such general terms brings back anything of his past knowledge of them like his unrelated knowledge of both dogs and astronomy.]
However, Asteri and Komitis sound familiar, probably from studying astronomy. Ever since Naminé and I found a moon trinket while cleaning in the main hall, I've been refreshing myself on the topic.
[While a lot of his knowledge was still there, he's found that there's been a lot of scientific advances since whenever the last time he studied it was. He was learning that a lot of what he intrinsically knew was outdated.]

... I'm learning about the Greek and Roman gods. They're similar, and some of them are interchangeable. There's big differences, like the one between Athena and Minerva.
[It's good to learn things, but Roxas really wants to go to school. There's more important things than astronomy and gods.]
I named the bear Callisto. She's around here somewhere.

[After all, the only time he's spoken on the network with Roxas, the post didn't have their god names in it, so he has no clue that Roxas is Artemis. Though once he knows, all these animals will make sense.]

[He tried to think about that.] I don't know how many guineafowl there are, or deer, but there's only one bear. Then there's Asteri and Komitis, and they're hunting dogs. Those are the only ones I found. There might be fish in the pond... so far only animals sacred to her showed up.

[He shakes his head and snorts lightly.]
I didn't intend for you to list them all off. A number or a range would have been sufficient.

A lot. Happy now?
no subject
Ecstatic.
[Saïx pauses and then switches back to his normal tone of voice.]
Aside from Greek mythology and animals, is there anything else that interests you?
[He may be a dick, but at least he's trying to get along? ]

.... I like to cook, and there's archery. That's about it.
[He needs more hobbies.]
no subject
I can't say I enjoy it, but I'm decent at cooking. Better than Leo and Niles, at any rate.
[In other words, he gets stuck with cooking duties at Odin's temple more often than not on account of being the most competent cook.]
Was archery always an interest, or something you picked up after becoming Artemis?

He shakes hie head.]
It was something my friend Hane taught me back in Koriko. We fought together once and it was so cool seeing her use a bow, so I wanted to try it!

[He's never heard of it before.]

[That explains why he's never heard of it. Granted, there's plenty of places that do exist here that he hasn't heard of either.]

It's... like an old Japan. An island with nothing around it that you can see anywhere. Sometimes it was really nice there, like around the holidays. Otherwise it was just where I worked. It was dangerous, too. Monsters in the forest, customers and other workers who hated humans. There's a lot more, but I don't want to think about that place right now.
no subject
I appreciate knowing even that much.
[What else was he supposed to say? That it sounded like a worse place to be than here? He might not be the most sensitive or empathetic person, but he knew well enough not to say something that insensitive.]
Good luck with Asteri and Komitis. I should get going.

If you wanna come visit them again, they'll come out for you.
no subject
I'll certainly drop by again at some point.
[Saïx doesn't wait for anything more to be said before he walks off.]
