In a dream, I saw a gleam too far to reach [Closed]
Who: Sanzo-ikkou & Co.
What: Sanzang wants the group to just relax for like 5 damn minutes, okay? Please?? And hopefully no one gets shot??
When: May 23
Where: Sanzang/Kanzeon's temple
Warnings: I mean it IS the Sanzo-ikkou....
[Sanzang's been in a happy tizzy all day, practically bouncing around the temple with her soulless shinki Kikka, and her monkeys, making sure everything was set up for her little party. It wasn't so much like she was worried about everything being perfect-- it wouldn't be no matter how herd she tried, due to the implicit nature of her new group of friends. If the similarities between her group and this one was any indication, something was bound to go wrong. Hilariously so, probably, but wrong all the same.
No, she was just full of giddy energy. Her hot springs were open to them to enjoy, there was plenty of refreshments (alcoholic and not) and food, and Sanzang had even set up a little table of food just for her monkeys so they would, hopefully, not bother with the other food (or, god forbid, the alcohol).
Everything'll go well enough right? Right.
...Right??]

He sweeps one hand idly through the blood-warm spring.]
Rest and relaxation are important, I've heard.
no subject
Can't say I'm used to either of those things, but it makes a nice change.
[Not that she's been super busy here, at least by her standards, but there's no rule against stressing yourself out while doing absolutely nothing!]
no subject
He might as well take a break in the company of friends.
Besides, Gojyo's going to be unable to resist teasing Sanzo about his very close connection with the lovely young lady who shares his name, and blood could be shed if Hakkai doesn't stay close enough to break it up before Sanzo gets mad enough to stop missing.]
It does, doesn't it? In the absence of anything urgent we can do.
How have you been managing as a goddess, incidentally, Sharak?
no subject
[Sharak closes her eyes and stretches out in the water briefly before going back to floating leisurely.]
I'm not suited to it at all. They should send me home in disgrace.
no subject
If only it were so easy! Do you suppose that if we caused a little trouble, it would get us sent home?
[If he thought that the people who controlled their arrival and departure were the same as the ones who'd be affected by their misbehavior, he'd be more enthusiastic about it. As it is, he's fairly sure that causing trouble would just get them killed.]
no subject
I don't get the impression that a "little" trouble is really your style.
[Go big and go home.]
no subject
[His tone is light, the injured lilt of innocence obviously false. After all, he can restrain himself! Not that, if they wanted to make enough of a fuss to go home, being restrained would be a positive. He hums, and lets the injured innocence ebb from his voice in favor of a very helpful tone.]
Of course, the last time someone made a lot of trouble, I don't believe he came back from being disemboweled in the Great Hall.
no subject
[When not restraining yourself is so much fun. Sharak's already floating slowly in Hakkai's direction when he drops that little tidbit. She glances around briefly to make sure Goku isn't within earshot before raising an eyebrow at Hakkai. The only "big trouble" she's heard about is a specific incident.]
Must have been before I arrived. I'm always missing out on the fun.
no subject
Really, it's a shame you missed it. We were lucky enough to all come out in one piece, at least.
[Thoughtfully, he continues.]
But I've wondered about why that god didn't come back. It's possible that unlike new shinki, new gods just don't.
no subject
I'd heard it wasn't so set in stone. [It's the one of the things stopping her from making a serious attempt on Ukoku's life. Even if she succeeds, it will likely escalate dangerously from there.] If he was so much trouble, it's no wonder they didn't want him back.
no subject
[He shrugs easily and settles back down into the water, sweeping a hand in a lazy circle to form a little vortex in the spring. It spins itself into nothing as he watches it.]
Have you heard of any god who's returned? So far, I've only heard of shinki personally... although there's one god who may have died. She's forgotten, it seems.
