walking dead

So much of the Near Shore was (and continued to be) new in a way Neji meant was absolute unfamiliarity. There were trends and roles and names he could only hope to understand through context clues and even keeping the undead at bay, as he was now, just stunk of something being off, something at the tip of his tongue, in regards to the setting. But a doctor -- well, look, he's got his eyes on the animated body he's working to keep off of himself but his ears are open to the commotion around him.

Someone nearby was a doctor, and that struck Neji as a very useful thing to be in a very wrong place.

His strikes are viper-quick, fluid, practiced, and all that good stuff. The corpse is beaten back soon enough and one rough and clumsy (and gods does he hate to admit it is clumsy) boundary line drawn has it enclosed and wedged between a stalled float. Neji turns to search, white eyes nearly frantic but.

The man's bloody sleeve is a dead giveaway, no? "You shouldn't be here if you'll only get yourself harmed," he says. "You'll be of no use if you continue in that state or worse." It could be a growl. It isn't. Neji's attention shoots back to the corpse and his unfinished business with it. And while he has no idea if it's a god or other tool he's addressed, his own name is etched on his forehead like damn neon sign.

"If you need protection I will help lead you to safety."

Unsure if Simon is a god or shinki, so sue him, but one thing is obvious: the guy, at the moment, is kind of a small liability. Kind of.
