[Closed] Who says they need a job?
Who: Izumo and Kensei
What: Prayer #11
When: June 8th
Where: Near Shore
Warnings: ...None whatsoever
[Job hunting was an ability very little people could master, even after several attempts. While it's easy to just go into a business and ask for a job, some people have worst luck than others and it could lead to days of endless searching with no hope of actually getting a job.
While Izumo had no difficulty finding a job (he works in a diner that serves as his god's temple, after all, and he owns his own bar), he couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor man who seemed absolutely desponded with not getting a job.
And since this is the Near Shore, neither Izumo nor Kensei could offer the man a job at their respective businesses.
Glancing at the poor man, Izumo looks at the newspaper he held in his hand as he searches for a well-suited job before he turns his gaze to Kensei.]
Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Which gets frustrating for him as all he wants is for everyone to do their best.]
Yeah. Tell him to stop praying and put in more applications.
[Isn't he great.]
You have any?
no subject
Then again, he could relate.
A thoughtful hum.]
Since he doesn't seem to have any sort of experience [that can be considered useful] maybe we can just find somewhere he can work as a garbageman or busboy in a restaurant somewhere.
[Those places always need some sort of labor, right?]
no subject
Things Kensei was dealing with: bullshit.
He sighs rubbing his head.]
Garbage man. Wouldn't trust him with dishes.
[Kensei is potentially too damn honest for his own good.]
no subject
Fortunately, there are a lot of openings for that.
[A glance at the man had Izumo holding back a sigh.]
Better question is if he could even pass the initial interview.
no subject
[He shakes his head with a grumble.]
He doesn't have enough willpower to do what he needs to? It's a damn disgrace.
[Kensei's feelings are incredibly strong.]
no subject
Let's just see what we can get something out of him.
[Because if this man is truly hopeless, then Izumo will start to show his temper and that might not be the best idea.]
The job is this way. [General direction to a nearby restaurant in hopes for a garbageman.]
no subject
Give him a kick to the ass if you have to.
[Hey, it was their job. Nothing said that giving the guy a lesson or two was worthless.]
no subject
[The man is protesting the entire way, trying his best to dissuade the god-shinki pair.
Not that Izumo is listening as he continues to drag the poor man.
No one said they had to make it easy for the still living being. He prayed to find a job so they're going to give him a job dammit.]
no subject
He glares at the man still trying to protest against him.]
What the hell did he think was going to happen?
[That he was going to get a magical job? Please.]
Throw him in.
[He pushed open the door to the restaurant.]
If it works, we're done. If not, find the next one.
no subject
Standing in the doorway, Izumo flashes a smile at the man that has him shutting up and growing pale.]
Then let's test his luck.
[His words are more directed to Kensei before Izumo forces the man inside after giving him specific directions on what to do and the man shakily enters the establishment.]
no subject
[But he watches him enter and shakes his head with a grumble.]
Remind me. Does he need to get the job or just apply for it?
[Because he honestly doesn't give a shit now.]
no subject
He thinks about it for a second.]
Just apply for it, I think. We only had to go job hunting with him.
no subject
[No pun intended.]
Let's go back. Good work.
no subject
[A nod, and then a smile.]
Alright.
no subject
[As he turns to walk away.]
There's a package in your room. It's for your bar. Glasses and liqour. Your 'bonus'.
no subject
He certainly wasn't expecting anything from Kensei, even with his bar now up and running.]
You didn't have to. [Get him anything, but then:] Thank you.
no subject
[He's a considerate man. Although some may call him a hardass, he's only like that when people don't pull their weight.
Safe to say, Izumo pulled his weight.]
Next time, we'll fight something.
no subject
Sounds good.
[He grins.]
It'll be more exciting than helping someone find a job.
no subject
[He should know. It was pretty much his life before all the shit went down.]
I need a drink.
no subject
[Though, Izumo hums, perking up.]
Then let's get you a drink.
no subject
[He looks at him.]
Sake?
no subject
Sake sounds good.
[He grins.]
I got some at the bar.
no subject
[Kensei gives a nod back as they head towards Izumo's bar.]
