Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!

Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.
Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

Equipment
- Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.
God Training
- Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Shinki Training
- Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Refreshments
- There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

In Summary:
- Use the state of the art equipment
- Learn about your job
- Form groups to practice
- Don't get dehydrated
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

[On one hand, Davesprite could take a practice weapon, but on the other, he has a perfectly good katana stabbed through his middle that he can use instead. Drawing the neon orange sword out of his equally neon orange body, he glides over to some of the moving targets, a few feathers fluttering out of his wings and the massive ruff of them around his neck as he does.
Taloned fingers closing on the sword handle with a practiced grip he doesn't remember developing, he flashes forward so fast he passes out of sight for a moment before slashing one of the moving targets as he comes back into visibility. The burst of speed repeats over and over, and with each one he hits another and another target - he can't use his flashstep constantly, sure, but spamming it seems to serve him just as well.
When he's done, he seemingly vanishes from the last target to reappear a split second later back where he started, the targets still vibrating from the impacts. It's only then that he'll notice anyone nearby or watching, though, and with a somewhat awkward scratch of his ruff, he sheathes his sword back into him and turns towards them on his ghostly tail.]
'Sup. I'm not being that one asshole who hogs the arcade machine when everyone else in the place is secretly zeroing in on that one game, am I. [His tone seems too deadpan for it to be a question.]
--
[B: Shinki Training]
[Davesprite's done borderline training before, but if there's one thing in this place he's absolutely determined to get right, it's that. So he's paired himself up with one of the white-clad shinki to fine-tune his skills on that front - he makes a solid enough borderline to start with, but it seems like maintaining it is the problem he's dealing with now, and as he lets another one drop after only holding it for about ten seconds, he lets out a hard breath that says this is taking much more effort than it looks like it is.
The white-robed shinki are kind of creepy to practice with, though, so if there's any shinki hanging around nearby, Davesprite's likely to swoop over as soon as he has the chance, pushing his shades up casually.]
So. You, me, borderline training, no items, Final Destination, what are we thinking.
--
[C: Refreshments]
[Having learnt his lesson from his last instance of floating over a refreshments table, Davesprite has instead opted to float at the same height as he would floating over the table, but just far enough behind that he's not going to shed feathers onto anything. He's been hanging out for a little while, which might be easy to tell by the small pile of shed feathers that's formed beneath him, but he still seems happy enough to remain there, currently chewing on a slice of orange. It's a bit of a surreal sight when one takes his general colour scheme into consideration.
If anyone happens to catch him during his orange snack break, Davesprite glances over and, with a completely straight face and deadpan tone, nudges the plate of sliced oranges towards them with his tail.]
Come join the orange empire, all payments in awesome citrus fruit and becoming one with the true orangeness within you.
B
Do you always speak like that?
no subject
Pretty much. Don't feel too bad if you lose your place, that's the risk of stepping into this maze of intricate metaphor and infinitely unfolding conversational tangents.
no subject
[She just won't be following the maze. Short, direct sentences out of her.]
Your god?
no subject
Neith. Hajime Ichinose. Brown-haired bullet of smiles and rainbows and hugs and whatever else she feels like gifting on the woefully unprepared masses at the time.
[Doesn't mean he won't ramble at all, though.]

[So good job, Davesprite- somehow your completely out of nowhere words got his attention more than all your everything. Still, after a second, Chikusa shrugs.]
...And fine, I guess.
no subject
[And it doesn't seem like he was as offputting as that metaphor seems to imply, because this guy is still agreeing. Or, at least, doesn't seem to care. It's a win either way.]
Just so we're on the same page, what kind of borderline level are you at, because I only start swinging my sword at people if I'm at least sixty percent sure they can borderline hard enough that I'm not going to get convicted of dead person murder.
no subject
I had to learn during the festival, and haven't stopped practicing since then.... so whatever level "zombie parade" is...
no subject
At the mention of the zombie parade, a more grim look briefly flickers over Davesprite's face before the chilled-out mask comes back in.]
It's practical training, so probably hardcore enough for me to start swinging swords. I only started properly when Masaki did that training day, which wasn't long before that anyway.

[ A smirk as the blond reaches over, taking a sliced orange and placing it on her plate, she offers her plate out as well. Looks like it's mostly sweets here. ]
It seems only fair to offer something in return.
no subject
Hey, the orange empire doesn't begrudge your choice of clothes, as long as you come with the understanding that it's all going to turn out orange in the end.
no subject
[ Raising her eyebrows gently, she kept her smile somewhat at bay, although there is a note of amusement in her tone. ]
All orange? That sounds a little blase if you ask me. I think the rainbow republic might have issue with that. Alas, I'm afraid our negotiations may be doomed from the start.
no subject
Rainbows are overrated, come on. They get all the good press because of this imagination and goodwill and innocence shit, when we all know they're really a complicated scam conspiracy to trick kids into thinking they can get rich by finding the end of a circle of coloured light.

Isn't this, like, cannibalism for you?
[he will be taking the entire plate of sliced oranges, though, thank]
no subject
Yeah, hearing the tortured screams of my orange brethren in the depths of my mind as I eat is the best part, don't you know.
no subject
[because he personally would enjoy that. you know.]

But she smiles politely at Davespirte as she pulls out a white tasuki cord and starts tying back the sleeves of her seafoam green kimono.]
How are you with borderlines? Everyone here is at such different levels it's diffifult to gauge just by looking.
no subject
However, he doesn't make the connection that she's a native shinki. At the question, he gives a somewhat casual shrug, as if still thinking on the question.]
If you want specifics, I don't have much, but I can make them. Can't hold them more than a few seconds, but damn if they don't work their ass off in those few seconds.
no subject
[She can't really take her eyes off the other shinki. For something so strange what with the sword in his stomach, wings and ghostly tail, he's such a pretty shade of orange too!]

[Hakkai beams cheerfully at him. He looks almost the same as usual -- same pointed ears, same vines, same golden eye -- but the eye that's usually glass-green is covered today by a black patch that gives him a piratical air.
Despite it, he doesn't look all that threatening. He's still willing to make an attempt. Just to help a friend, of course!]
no subject
Sure, that definitely isn't in any way a foreboding or suspicious question to open a conversation with. Being real, I'm not actually sure, there haven't been that many threats I've tried to use borderlines on here instead of my sword.
[The undead, the ayakashi guarding that demon circle...strictly speaking, he does know that borderlines are supposed to work better against the stuff that's native to this place, but the sword just feels more natural. The borderlines, he doesn't feel like he can rely on quite yet.]
no subject
I ask because I've had better luck teaching other shinki to cast them in the first place when there's an ayakashi on hand to cast them against.
But if you'd like to try a bit of sparring, I could use a practice partner myself...?

Shinki Training
Unfortunately Kairi doesn't know this is the same Davesprite who'd been talking to her over text, but she does catch 'borderline training' and realize he must be a shinki.]
Woah, uhm - I definitely can work on Borderlines with you! Or spells! But I do wonder if you've met Dust? Or Nyanta either.
[He'd been so caught up on a lack of his Kind here, and as far as Kairi's concerned, the bird parts counted to make him an Other that might ease some of Dusts worries, even if Kairi doesn't want to treat him differently for the purposes of training.]
no subject
If I did, they didn't leave their name with me, because those two are ringing about as many bells as the clearance shelves a week after Christmas.
[That is to say, none at all, because nothing is more powerful than the combined magic of massive sales and human cheapskatery.]
Not gonna say I've picked up any of the spells we're supposed to be able to do that aren't the borderline one.
no subject
Huh. Well, maybe later today. I think I saw them both walking around earlier. Speaking of names though, I'm Kairi.
[She offers him a hand to shake since, floating like that, it doesn't seem that a hug will be happening.]
I'm a shinki for Artemis, but his real name is Roxas. It's nice to meet you!
[You know, training in a second. Introductions first!]
