Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[ It's an interesting undertaking, having all these new arrivals here. But then again, it's for the best. They need training, after all, both old and new.

She's been watching the crowd closely, a figure that looks all buisiness with the slacks, tie, polo and boots to match. But then she notices this particular god who seems to be in a spot of self-inflicted pain. There's a pause as she glances over her shoulder, calling to someone named Akiha before approaching. ]

Is everything alright?

[mermaiding]

No, stupid! Why would be? [She snaps instantly and bares her teeth, not even looking up at first. When she does, it's with a quick double-take and the anger turns to a sort of wariness. She doesn't want to let go of her anger, but Bishamon's pretty, Oona is shallow and curious, and she's already starting to slide from violent anger to just general grumpiness.

She looks away with a huff, staring down at her bare feet and then at the wood practice sword she'd kicked away like somehow it's that thing's fault.]

Want to go home.

[ Of all the gods who have arrived, this one immediately gets her sympathy. She can't blame her for lashing out, neither can she blame her for reacting the way she did. After all, if she was pulled from this place, answers would be demanded and heads would roll.

So instead of chastising Oona, she's just going to sit next to her. ]

I'm sorry. I wish there was more we could do... but rest assured, steps are being taken to find whoever's behind this and a way to send you all back.

[ One of her shinki, an older man approaches with a first aid kit in his hands. Bishamon nods him over, gesturing to him with one hand. ]

This is Akiha, our resident physician. Please allow him to examine you to make sure nothing serious has happened to your foot.

[mermaiding]

[Oona makes a sneering expression] Have heard such lies before, promises that are empty. Will be released, will go home. Tch. [Still... Oona eyes Bishamon some more, shoulders slumping and seeming to physically deflate a little.] And will believe anyhow, because want to. [She wants to have hope still. It sucks. Feelings suck.

She doesn't recoil exactly when Akiha approaches and there's a shifty look at the word 'physician' as she expression turns wary.] Doctor? [Akiha doesn't look like any doctor she's ever seen, but she's still hesitant and squints at Bishamon]

...Fine, suppose. But no needles! Will bite. [a clearly fearsome threat.

Her foot is fine, just a little bruised--there are some old nicks and cuts here and there; she's clearly someone who's never set foot (no pun intended) on outside ground before, her skin still tender]

Thank you for your faith. I can only hope we can prove your suspicions wrong in time.

[ She listens, as she usually does when those who need to vent do so. In a way, it's like listening to a prayer... and isn't that what gods are supposed to do? ]

There won't be any needles. You don't need to worry.

[ And with that, she sits close in case Oona needs the support. Akiha bows to her once before setting to work. He seems experienced enough, looking over the god's foot before confirming she hasn't broken anything before asking 'Will it be alright if I dress these cuts?' ]

[Oona grunts in response--no needles, so you say for now!! She watches Akiha like a hawk anyhow. She says nothing for a the duration, but looks startled at the question-- was she actually getting a choice here?? She looks at Bishamon before realizing there's no reason to be looking to her for permission on anything. Her eyes narrow, lie somehow that's Bishamon's fault, before turning her attention back to Akiha.]

Fine, fine.

[She rests leans her hands back on the ground and watches him again before she gaze is sliding to her god companion again, thoughtful]

You are very pretty. [There's no shame here, it's spoken as though she's announcing a fact.] If everyone is as good-looking, perhaps will not be so bad. [She tilts her head the other way] You are in charge?
