Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[Ken's eyes widen.] You can teleport? [He sounds intrigued, maybe even excited, and reaches for Axel's hand without any further hesitation. No 'is that safe', no 'how the hell does that work', no 'what do you mean you don't know where we're going isn't that kind of a problem'; just an eager, wordless 'that sounds badass, show me'.]

Yep.

[Almost as soon as Ken touches his hand, Axel focuses his energy into the first hop, towards where the old gods of Japan tend to stay. To Ken, it'll feel warm, but also like movement. Not nearly as much as it should be, though. The warmth is explained if he looks behind them during the brief movement - they're trailing fire.

The second hop occurs only one Axel has found Bishamon's temple, which takes a few seconds, but there's only one with white-clad shinki waiting outside to welcome people. It's also a much shorter jump, though that's really one second as opposed to two. They arrive at the door in a circle of flame that warms, but does not burn.]

Whoa... [Ken is fascinated by the teleportations, and even more by the fire. Although once they arrive at Bishamon's temple, he's actually kind of sniffing the air, seeming puzzled.]

I saw fire but I don't smell it, byon... [This is probably because magical godly fire isn't actually burning any fuel to create smell. But Ken's always been sensitive to smell, so it's weirding him out a bit.]

Makes sense. Pretty sure it's magic.

[As a further demonstration, Axel lights a fire just above his hand. As before, there's no fuel, just his own energy, but this one will burn anything it touches. The white-robed shinki nearby look... a little concerned.]

Don't touch, it's hot.

[Ken leans in to inspect closely enough that he blinks at the heat, although to his credit he at least has the intelligence to not press his luck or actually reach for the fire. He's simple, not completely stupid.]

I thought gods do miracles, byon.

Sometimes, I guess. I mostly set stuff on fire. Need a little help for the miracle thing. That's where you come in!

[Axel extinguishes the fire before entering Bishamon's temple, to the relief of the other shinki.]

Can I do miracles?! [Ken's eyes go comically wide.]

With my help, it's possible. My other shinki can make chemicals out of nothing, and I've heard of other powers too.

[He's just gotta figure out the on-reading of Ken's kanji name first. He really should've paid attention in school.]
