Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[Homura doesn't actually wake her up when she notices her sleeping.

But she does settle next to her with two plates of snacks and some lemonade. Whenever she's ready to wake up, Homura's right there like there's nothing odd about it at all.]

[ It's not Homura that wakes her up but nonetheless a short while later, Nanako startles awake with a soft gasp, disoriented for a moment until she spots the other girl nearby. Looking sheepish, she sleepily rubs her eyes and sits up. ]

Oops. Did I fall asleep?

You did.

[No use denying it, after all.]

Are you hungry?

[ The little girl stretches before shifting to sit closer to where Homura has perched, wrapping her arms around her knees. ]

A little. Are you? Did you get to train too?

[timeshields]

I trained.

[She doesn't mention a thing about being tired though.

Instead she holds out one of the snack plates for Nanako.]

[ nanako's eyes widen a little in surprise. ]

Is this for me? Thanks, Homura! It looks yummy!

[ But she's not going to get distracted that easily. ]

Was training hard?

[How does she make sure nothing bad ever happens to Nanako?]

It was interesting.

I'll be able to protect Souji and you better now.

[ Nanako munches on some fruit and listens with a bright smile. ]

Really? What did you learn?

[timeshields]

Borderlines.

Ayakashi can't cross a borderline I've made.

[She's not great at them yet, but if she keeps working on it then they'll last longer.]

That's a barrier, right? [ At least she's learned a little! ] That's really good, Homura! I saw some other shinki trying to practice it and they couldn't make one at all.

[ Consider her suitably impressed! ]

[timeshields]

It is.

[It's good she's learning about these things.]

I have people I want to protect.

[ Nanako's cheeks flush faintly at that as she smiles at the other girl. ]

Souji-niichan? I bet he will be proud you learned it, too.

[timeshields]

[The slight incline of a nod.]

You too.

[Keeping Nanako safe would make Souji happy.

And if she's being honest with herself, it'd make her happy too.]

[ Nanako's grin goes brighter at that. ]

You're really smart and strong, so I know you can do it!

[timeshields]

... You think so?

[She doesn't feel that strong, but she needs to be with people relying on her.]

I won't let you down.

[ Nanako reaches out to impulsively give the other girl a hug. ]

I do! And I know you won't. I'll do my best, too. [ Even though that.... doesn't sound as confident as it otherwise might. ]

[timeshields]

[She's stock still for a second or two before hugging back.

She notes the shaky confidence but doesn't push it. At least for now.]

Never hesitate to call on me.

[ Nanako draws back a little at that, tilting her head to the side, because that... has finally dawned on her what Homura might mean. ]

You mean, like a shinki? [ Is that... even possible? ] But you're Souji-niichan's?

[timeshields]

I am. But you're part of his family. If I can protect both of you, I will.

[If at anytime, Nanako needs a weapon and Homura's not serving Souji, she's Nanako's to command.]

[welcome_home]

[ Nanako gives her another squeeze before settling back on her heels and giving Homura a warm smile. ]

You are, too. You're part of our family now too, Homura.

[timeshields]

[Part of their family... It sounds odd to her, a concept she's not quite used to.

But Souji wants that for her too.]

... I'll... do my best.

[That's maybe not the correct response, but she doesn't know what is.]

[ Nanako just giggles softly and gives her a warm smile. ]

I know you will. But you'd still be part of it, no matter how much you can do.

[timeshields]

[She hums quietly.]

... Is that how family works?

[ Nanako nods, because to her the answer is obvious. ]

Yeah!

[ Although the reminder that Homura might not know or remember that has Nanako reaching out to pat her hand lightly. ]

Don't worry. Even if you make mistakes sometimes, you're still family. That doesn't have anything to do with how much you do.

That's... so strange.

Shouldn't I need to earn it?

[Doesn't she need to earn every good thing in her not-life?]
