013 | Down To Business

Who: Everyone!
What: Training
When: Morning June 16
Where: Bishamon's temple
Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

    Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.


God Training

    Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.


Shinki Training

    Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.


Refreshments

    There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

(Her eyebrows rise and her smile is thin. It is hard for her not to find bitter amusement in her - their - circumstances.)

Where has this god been all of my life? I have never heard of her. (Was that the problem? Were they all calling on the wrong deities?) Besides which, I am mortal. I am the Lady of Winterfell, but that does not make me worthy of...

being a god. (It feels sacrilegious.)

I never heard of Artemis before I got here, but that's who I'm supposed to be other than me. We didn't really have gods back home. I know other worlds did.

[She reaaaaaaally does not sound happy about this.] We're all mortals here. Except maybe Bishamon. But she's one of the old gods, so who knows.

What does Artemis represent? (Knowledge is power - safety - and she has taken it upon herself to learn about Dali quickly.) Isn't that odd to you? The gods are meant to be above mortals; barely understood by them in most cases. How can we fill their roles?

(She shakes her head slightly.) I am descended from the Kings of the North, but my family is no longer royal.

Artemis is mostly the goddess of the hunt, moon, and wilderness. There's other things, too, b-but... it's embarrassing. [Women, children, and childbirth... also virginity and please don't make him say these things.] Not really? I've met lots of different people, seen things that normal people don't, and I've been to a lot of worlds. This... is a lot less weird than the last place I was in. At least here none of my enemies have shown up.

You represent a goddess? (So gender doesn't seem to...matter. Even stranger! She cannot imagine the Maiden or Crone as men!) We are similar; Dali is a goddess of the hunt too. She protects animals and only allows respectful hunters to have any success.

(The comment about "embarrassing things" has her almost smirking.) How can your work be embarrassing to you?

(Her amusement flees in a blink.) To let down your guard would be unwise. Your enemies could appear at any moment.

(With a gentle shrug, Sansa takes another sip of her lemonade.) The kingdoms united - there are Seven - and the Starks - my family - gave way to the King of the South peacefully. Our family is very old - we were amongst the First Men - and I think it might be time for us to rule again.

(Since the Southern Kings are doing so poorly.)

There's girls here that are gods. I used to be embarrassed, but Artemis is pretty cool. [!!!!] Have you seen your temple? Mine's in a forest! I've got deer there, and a bear, hunting dogs, and pretty much anything else that feels like showing up.

[Weeeellll...] I... have to answer requests for... baby things.

[He shrugs at that.] I know how to fight. [That is actually pretty cool.] Wait, does that mean you're going to war?

(Her nose wrinkles like she doesn't approve, however that is set aside for... A temple? Her own temple?)

I haven't. I would not mind deer, hunting dogs or even wolves. (Bears are a bit frightening, though Dali sends a burst of enthusiasm into her heart at the thought of any animal.)

You mean pregnancies and giving birth? (Sansa shakes her head in amusement.) I imagine you are very gentle about it. The women will appreciate it.

(The blue of her eyes hardens and she folds her hands in her lap.) I want to. The Seven Kingdoms deserve better leadership. If Kings are allowed to fail so badly then maybe a Queen should stand in their place.

[This world is weird when it comes to the gender thing.] My hunting dogs are technically ghosts, but they keep people who want to hurt me away. Since you're a goddess of the hunt, you might have animals, too. A lot of the gods here have sacred animals at their temples.

[Yes, he is rather red in the face.] I-I used to work on a farm, so childbirth isn't so weird... it's the pregnancy thing. [Just got the sex talk a few months ago.]

I know wars are bad... but I don't like bad kings either. [There's just something that he'd like to know.] Are you gonna be a kind queen?

I think Dali might be drawn to hunting hounds too. (But Sansa will urge her towards wolves, naturally.) What are your sacred animals?

(Her lips twitch and she leans forward, lowering her voice.) They are not expecting you to be a midwife, are they? Births can be messy and pregnancies are usually either relatively simple - with mild discomfort - or abominable. I watched my mother go through three.

(His honest, straight-forward approach earns him likewise in return.) I would be a Queen who knows when to be kind and when to be swift with my justice.

I think you'd like Asteri and Komitis. They're... Happy. [As in they love attention.] The ones I mentioned, plus guineafowl and fish. The deer I've got are silver with gold antlers, just like the ones that pulled her chariot across the sky.

[He relaxes his shoulders, shaking his head with a small look of relief.] No. They ask for my blessings. I don't think... I can watch women give birth. It's way different from a cow or sheep.

[Very honest. He likes that.] Then I hope you get to be queen. You seem like a really nice person.

Hounds tend to be joyful if they are shown care and attention. (The hounds of Winterfell will be so again if she has a hand in it. Never again will they be starved.) They sound beautiful.

(She laughs softly.) My father was present for every one of his children's births. It isn't customary that men are allowed in birthing chambers, but he would have it no other way. I think you would feel differently if it was your child seeing their first light.

(Sansa blinks and gives her head a small shake.) I'm not always nice.

Are they supposed to bark when happy? [Limited interactions with dogs before this place.] You can come over and see them anytime you want! There's a deer feeder on one side of my temple, and there's still babies!

[He laughs a little nervously.] I don't think that's possible for me since I'm with a guy.

[Well they have that in common.] Me either, but that's pretty normal for humans, right?

Frequently if they are exhilarated. The hunting hounds of Winterfell will bark continuously when they are preparing for a hunt. (It is rather adorable to see the hounds yipping and gamboling about as they are checked over.) Could I follow you from this meeting? I have not seen my temple and...company would be nice.

(Her eyes widen.) Romantically...? (Sansa has not run into that quite yet.)

It should be. I know some, though, that are only cruel.

Mine don't hunt, but when they see people they like, they bark like crazy. [Especially people like Sora and Kairi.] Sure! I can show you how to get there fast, too.

[Roxas nods.] Yeah. His name's Sora. He's somewhere around here. [Of course he's smiling brightly when talking about his favorite person.]

... I know some of those... they're not here, but I'm always worried they'll come here and find me.
