Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

I find that unsettling. The gods should know everything and be able to guide mortals accordingly. What if, in the process of meaning well, we do irreparable ill?

(Some deserve irreparable ill, but she is thinking of those who leave humble lives.)

[Assuming they're truly gods at all. Julian still isn't convinced. He doesn't think he ever will be.

He's not sure what his working theory is right now. Mass hallucinations is a little much.]

We just have to be careful, I suppose. The stories of gods don't paint many of them as completely harmless.

(They are the closest she has ever come to meeting gods and, certainly, being a god. Sansa has no other comparison for it since she feels betrayed by the Seven and the Old Gods.)

Why would they be harmless? Humans are not harmless. (She realizes she sounds tense and unhappy. That isn't fair for him.) I am Sansa Stark, Lady of Winterfell, and current companion of the goddess Dali.

[The fact that he's so reticent to believe, to take things on faith, is possibly just a touch hypocritical. Even before this, he'd found himself benefiting along with everyone else he knew from divine intervention. But Julian still didn't believe in the Prophets as gods.]

Fair enough.

[He smiles, small but kind.]

My name is Julian Bashir. Or, Ascelpius, I suppose.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the name Dali. My knowledge of mythology has always been a little sparse.

[stonebird]

(She flushes to a pale pink at her poor manners. She had begun questioning him the moment he approached her. Where are her manners?)

Well met, Julian. Forgive me for my anger and irritation. I have not found comfort in my situation yet.

(Sansa pulls out a small page of notes she made earlier, describing Dali.)

She is a goddess of the hunt and protective of animals.

[He doesn't look at all like he's bothered by the immediate questioning. He's had far worse first meetings--usually because of himself, he tends to forget any manners he learned growing up the second he gets excited about something.]

It is indeed a pleasure, Lady Sansa. And your apology is accepted, certainly, this is all quite a lot to take in.

[He leans forward to take the page from her hands.]

Well you're certainly more prepared than I am for these sorts of situations. I don't have so much as a business card. Asclepius is a god of healing and medicine, by the way.

[He reads over the page before handing it back. She certainly looks the part of a goddess of the hunt.]

If you want to ask me any other questions, please feel free. I'll do my level best to answer them.

("...quite a lot to take in." He can say that a million times and Sansa isn't sure it will cover what she feels. She is having a complete crisis of faith and reality. Her body feels cold and numb and her hands shake as she shows him her notes.)

The pleasure is mine. (Since she needs his kindness and his patience more than she knows.) I am only recording what I can to...to better understand.

(Understanding gives her a foothold; something to hold onto.)

Many must seek your company, then. Healing is so very useful. (There is intrigue in her gaze despite her panic.) As long as these gods are joined with us, do we have...their powers? Can you heal without aid of herbs, for example?

It's a good way to. A journal might possibly help.

[He's no psychiatrist, not a counselor, but he of course knows a little--which for him means probably enough that he could pass the tests required to get a certification, but he doesn't think he has the temperament to be a counselor.]

We have powers, most probably relating, I haven't asked anyone to know for sure. And yes, I can. Most illnesses, it seems, broken bones and injuries I still have to work the old-fashioned way.

[Even more old-fashioned than he usually means, without the tools he's used to.]
