Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!

Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

After reaching out for a cookie herself and getting the most sour look from the other blond, Lux pulled her hand back, wincing a smile. ]

It's not that they're short, it's just...

[ ...Actually, why did they call them shortbread cookies, anyway? ]

I-in any case, you should probably come down from there. I think you're making the other shinki uncomfortable...

[ You know, what with that looking like you're going to bite off any hand that comes near thing. ]

[Blonde hair, blue eyes? Oona's expression eases somewhat in interest, but it sours again at being told what to do. She glances to the shinki milling about and huffs, sticking her nose in the air a little.]

So? Is their fault they are uncomfortable. Am comfortable here. [She gestures a little with the plate] Are mine now. Found, so is mine. [THAT'S HOW IT WORKS.]

[ ...Wait, what? How is it their fault? Lux blinks at that for a moment, then quickly regains her composure, wincing a smile. Miss, she doesn't mean to judge, but what are you, seven? ]

Be that as it may, as guests, it would be rude of us to act in such a way as to make others uncomfortable.

[ Spoken somewhat slowly, like one might if they were explaining something to a child. Tables are for glasses not asses, Oona. Please get down. ]

I'm more than certain you could find somewhere else to be comfortable.

Guests? Was not asked. Shoved here, told to learn. That is not guest. [She waves a dismissive hand and sticks her nose up in the air.]

No. [That's it. Just NOPE.] Do not want to. Like it up here, can see things better. [She nods towards the training area, grin turning a mite lascivious.] Will they remove shirts, wonder?

[ She wasn't getting much of anywhere with this, was she? This girl was stubborn as a mule, and with something of an impatient sigh, Lux sought to calm herself. A change of tactics was in order.

Tell her she can see things better from a tree or something like that, maybe that— ]

[ Do not, Lux. She was trying to get you to buckle and you are better than this!

She just didn't quite expect such a low blow. You're a scandalous thing, aren't you? ]

...Whether they do or not means nothing to me. Besides, that's hardly something a lady should ask!

[ Just leave that door wide open for her, Lux. Make sure to sign that formal invitation to troll while you're at it. ]

[Oona blinks slowly, uncomprehending at first before the realization dawns.]

Embarrassed? What is wrong with looking, or more? It is nice! Bodies are nice. Humans do not, ehh... what is the word? Admire? Eh, no... They do not know how good these things are. ["Appreciate" is the word she's going for, but her vocab fails her. She waves a hand dismissively-- not important, the meaning is there enough!

Oona leans towards Lux, smirking again] You are very pretty too. And do not tell lies, so know it is true.

[ Was she squirming? Was she sweating a bit? No of course not, Oona was just seeing things.

Why is this her life now.

What did she possibly do while she was alive to deserve this.

Some unnamed deity was probably having a laugh about this somewhere, weren't they? Of course they were. ]

[ Leaning back juuuuust a little bit. Also she is not acknowledging any of that previous nonsense, because admiring human anatomy is not something a proper lady does. ]

[Oona sits back with a pleased air like somehow she's come away from this the winner. And honestly, it doesn't matter what direction this conversation goes now, this mermaid is pretty cemented in her belief now that she's coming out of this on top.]

Name is Oona. People tell me am god-- Eris. Do not care which you call me. Who are you, pretty girl?

[ Why did she suddenly feel like a mouse being cornered by a cat? Not that she ever had any control over this situation to begin with.

(Oh of course she was a goddess. That made this even worse!)

Wincing a smile, she tried her best not to look as uncomfortable as she felt. ]

Lux. Lux Crownguard.

[ The "it's a pleasure" quickly died on her lips, although it was clear she held back on saying something. ]

Are god, or shinki? [She's curious, and doesn't seem to notice that lux is holding back on saying anything more... Well, it seems that way, maybe, for a few seconds before she tilts her head up slightly and raises her eyebrows]

Have more to say? Just say. Is better to be honest, yes? Am always honest.

I'm a shinki.

[ Lux didn't quite pause, but there was certainly a bit of hesitation in her tone. Suddenly very keenly aware of the pecking order here. Said in a tone that denoted at least some amount of respect. Perhaps more than Oona might ask for in that context. Someone's stuffy.

And at her question— ]

I—ah, no, it's not... It's nothing like that.

[ She waved her hand quickly in the air. Don't mind her, really! ]

Please, don't worry about it.

[She's lost interest in the rest of the conversation anyhow--she can push Lux to be more honest later, instead she's focused on the shinki part]

Shinki! Who is partner? What turn into? Do you know? [SHE'S FASCINATED in a slightly horrified way]

[ Honestly she's much happier for that short attention span than Oona insisting upon residing in her bubble. Still, her smile is a little awkward. ]

His name is Allen, although he is also known as Michael.

[ Ah, her vessel form. That was...

Let's tiptoe around that giant can of worms shall we? ]

Have you met your shinki yet? Are they here?

[The tiptoeing works, because the question being turned on her makes her frown.]

...No. Do not have one... [Oona looks-- not uncomfortable, really, but definitely put-out.] Everyone paired, look happy. But, was not given anyone...

[She's definitely sulking about it a little.]

[ Ah, she didn't mean to bring down the mood, and very acutely aware that she had made a misstep, the other blond tried to cover it up with a somewhat warm smile. ]

Even if you don't have a shinki yet, that doesn't mean that you can't make friends with others here.

[ ...And even if she did make Lux a bit uncomfortable, if there was something she simply couldn't allow, something she would not abide by, it was leaving someone alone like this. ]

And if you would like, I could come visit you at your temple from time to time, to keep you company. Or you could come visit me.

[ It might not be the same thing, but sometimes even knowing that you have a friend, especially in a situation such as this, it could make all the difference. ]

[She sits up straight then in surprise, staring at Lux with a bit of suspicion mixed with mostly incredulity]

Eh? What? Why? [LIKE... NOT TO KNOCK AWAY THE KINDLY OFFERED HAND BUT...

Oona squints a little] You can, of course, there is no one to stop you, but, eh... Do not have to pretend to like me.

[ Lux sighed then, not out of frustration but an odd sense of understanding. Resignation maybe? Her expression evening then, her smile became less intense and a little more natural as the turned her attention out toward the training ground. ]

It must be lonely, seeing everyone paired up like that. Showing up here suddenly with no one there but yourself, feeling like you don't know a soul. It's hard.

[ She was lucky enough that the person (he hated to be thought of as something other than that, or at least that was he impression she got) she served was kind. But in Oona's case, as a god it must have been much different.

(He looked lonely, torn up when she happened upon him. Was it the same for her?)

Turning again, holding her hands behind her back, Lux offered the goddess a radiate smile. ]

You might be a bit strange, but that doesn't make me want to help you any less. Although it's true, your manners could use some work.
