Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[Having expected the shrieking, or at least a surprised yelp, Chikusa doesn't react much besides a lethargic blink.]

I thought you were a god...

[ Thanks for the heart attack, Chikusa. Nanako's lips form an indignant pout over being so startled. ]

[He lives to please. Or. Give heart attacks. You know.]

Then you should be with the gods. [Oh.... He tilts his head slightly at something that's just come to mind.] Or do you have a shinki you're trying to watch...?

[ Nanako nods enthusiastically, her irritation quickly fading into delight as she motions to point out one of the shinki with bright green hair. ]

I do! His name is Sumio, he's new.

[His gaze follows her finger and- uh. Huh. Well.]

It doesn't look like you'll be able to lose him easily.

[Seriously, that is some very bright hair.]

[ Right?? She likes it, though. ]

I didn't lose him! I was just... checking.

If he was doing things right?

No. [ She shakes her head quickly, because she's not really worried about that. She's sure he'll learn things just fine. ] Just checking on him. I wanted to make sure he was okay. The training looks hard.

[kokuyoyo]

It's mostly the fighting that looks annoying... [So Chikusa has been skipping that part. He shrugs.] But magic is a little easier. At least for me.

Yes, but you already know all kinds of tricks and things! [ She saw you and your yoyo after all. Sorta. That totally translates to the same thing, right? ] Sumio is new!

[kokuyoyo]

[I mean. Fair enough. Chikusa can't argue with that. Or, at least, he won't bother to.]

He'll have to learn quickly then... or he won't be able to protect you.

[And what use is a shinki that can't protect their god?]

[ That makes her frown. ]

He has time. I can be careful!

If you say so.

[Not really an agreement, but not really a disagreement, either. Chikusa pushes himself up to his feet.]

So you just came to watch him….?

[ Nanako nods. ]

And the others. Some of them are my friends. Aaaaand... [ She trails off, fidgetting a little. ] I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing to train, anyway.

Whatever to do with who you are as a god, probably.

[A loose shrug.]

But I don't really know how to train from that?

[ That's the entire problem here, Chikusa. ]

[kokuyoyo]

[A long, drawn out sigh, but Chikusa actually doesn't get up and leave like one might think he would do. Maybe Nanako is just low energy to deal with, and is thus fine. Who knows.]

Not all training is fighting... Or whatever it is they're trying to teach gods...

[ Just admit that you like her Chikusa, it's okay. She promises not to tattle and ruin your street cred. ]

But what else am I supposed to train? I don't know any magic, either. And I still can't find out what my god power is.

[ Which is why she's looking so dejected at the moment. ]

What are you the god of?

[It occurs to him that he never asked... and he might not know even if he knew the name, if it wasn't part of Greek mythology.]

Mmmmm. Nanshe had a lot of things, like water and fishing! But she took care of widows and orphans and people who didn't have anywhere else to go. I think there was lots of fighting where she came from. She took care of all the people who got hurt by it.

Then learn about those.

[He says it like it's obvious.]

But that doesn't tell me how I'm supposed to do it. Not like the other gods here can do.

But isn't that why we're here to train?
