Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[Just by the way she talks and the kind of question she asked, he kind of wants to think that she's actually just a child in an adult body.... which, honestly, wouldn't be the first in the Far shore, so.]

[fuck you chikusa now she's going to think that's how the actual phrase goes]

Is nice because then can tell you 'no'.

[And she so wanted to whip out a NOPE. She rolls her eyes though and swings her legs some more, looking bored]

Does not matter. [She reaches out and picks up some broccoli from some vegetable tray, turning it around in her hands before tossing it to him suddenly] Take these, not my things. Do not care about those.

[Cookie inbetween his teeth, he actually manages to catch the broccoli. Good hand-eye reflexes from the nerd.]

I can tell you 'no' either way...

[Like now, where there's a lazy toss of one broccoli into the cookie tray.]

I wonder when that really annoying person will start bothering you too....

[mermaiding]

Do not care if you say 'no,' was meaning I could tell you 'no'. [Like duh, come on now. it's all about her.

She makes a noise of protest when the broccoli is tossed onto the tray and she frowns down at him, grumbling unintelligibly. His comment gets her to glance up again, eyebrows raised]

Already is. [Ouch, Oona. But she looks amused and curious more than anything] Who? There are people not annoying in this place?

[kokuyoyo]

[Now that they've established dumb broccoli throwing protocol, Chikusa seems to have gotten disinterested in any further food fighting, instead shuffling over to see what else he can pilfer for himself. Shortbread cookies are apparently off of the table.]

I don't have white hair or will try to kidnap you.... [Never forget, Zero.] And my god isn't...

[mermaiding]

[She bristles at the word 'kidnap' and her eyes narrow.] White hair, who kidnaps? Tch. Not as though we have not been kidnapped already.

[But that bit about his god does reveal to her something semi-important] You are, ehh... What are they-- Shinki? Yes? Why? [She doesn't think anyone really knows why, but she's curious all the same if he has a reasoning]

[kokuyoyo]

You've been kidnapped, maybe...

[Chikusa, in contrast, is just dead. While there might be strange circumstances, he's fairly certain that shinki are still mostly the same- dead souls that have become tied to the divine. While there's a chance there's something dark to it...]

[Well. He's not trapped in a shambling corpse like those seen at the festival. He thinks he's gotten the better deal.]

[A tilt of his head at the question.]

Why...? Because... there wasn't any purpose before him.

And he needs me.

[For all his blank expression, a little more steel fills those last words, hardening them with his conviction. His will. With all he's learned.... Axel does need him.]

[mermaiding]

No purpose? [She sort of-- makes a face, not certain how she feels about that.]

That-- ehh... What is word... Devotion? Nice, but... Do not know. Am glad, maybe, do not have shinki-person. [Well she's got a soulless one chilling around her temple, but she doesn't know that yet.

But she blinks slowly at him, head tilted up slightly in acknowledgement. Well, at least he's got conviction.] Is he really so-- worthy?

[kokuyoyo]

Yes.

[Not even the slightest bit of hesitation, and he pops a small cherry tomato into his mouth.]

...He’s already outwitted another god.

[mermaiding]

Could just mean he is sneaky, not worthy. [She says it lightly, head tilting curiously.]

Would you have chosen him, if given choice?

If you've been kidnapped, isn't it better to be sneaky? [Which is important, considering the shit that goes on here... but he's not expecting her to understand that if she's knew.]

[The question actually makes him pause, thinking over it carefully. Before he'd met Axel, been given a purpose, if instead he'd been asked to choose, what would he have done...?]

...I'd probably be dead.

[mermaiding]

No. [She says it abruptly] Better to be strong and destroy those who kidnapped you. If not strong, get stronger. Be loud and do not be ignored. Make them regret decision. [She crosses her arms over her chest and blinks in surprise at his answer.

Well. Alright then.]

[Enlightening, Oona]

Life is boring. [At least, it's very hard for him to get worked up about anything, outside of the context of his God.] What is there anyway...?

[He finally looks at her properly, raising up an eyebrow in silent challenge.]

[mermaiding]

[She blinks slowly and for a long moment doesn't answer. She doesn't have the proper mastery of language she feels is required to talk about her beautiful ocean home. The words in English are too--heavy. Not right. It doesn't matter that she suspects she'll kill herself too one day, throw herself into the ocean and let herself become seafoam upon retrieving her tail again. There's no place for her now in the sea and none on land.

A thoughtful hum, the sound strange from her, like there's more than one voice to it, and she sits back a little.]

Revenge. [At least she's honest, and she shrugs, looking at the table. She reaches out to grab a cookie from the plate and holds it out with a triumphant, albeit cheeky, grin]

And cookies! Who could die without tasting all of cookies that exist?

[Admittedly, that's not an answer he was expecting, and Chikusa blinks before his expression turns thoughtful. Revenge... Somehow, in some way, that feels right. Feels true, familiar.]

[A firm nod.]

Revenge is good. But I don't have any need for that yet. [And the 'yet' feels more than a little bit like an inevitability. Well, he'll be prepared for it, at any rate.]

[For now, his eyes get drawn back to the cookie again.]

...Do you even know how many kinds of cookies there are...?

[mermaiding]

Yet. [She echoes and laughs, amused.] So, can not die before you find it out! [Logic.

She loos at the cookie too and frowns thoughtfully] ...At least two. [NAILED IT. She points to the shortbread cookie and the chocolate chip cookies on the plate.] See? One, two.

[kokuyoyo]

[He'd really rather not deal with the one thing that would drive him to revenge, but he doesn't tell that to her. Why tell anyone that?]

[Instead, he glances over at the cookies.]

Are those really the only ones they have...?

[Excuse him as he gets his phone out of his pocket.]

[mermaiding]

[Oona tilts her head and shrugs. As far as she knows they're the only ones here. They're the only ones she's seen, at least.

But what does his phone have to do with this??]

What doing...?

[kokuyoyo]

Looking up something…

[A muttered response, obviously with not much attention or effort put into it, before he finds what he needs to.]

...At least 120.

[mermaiding]

[She huffs a little--excuse you chikua people should be paying attention to her fully all the time--but it's forgiven when he comes up with his answer.

At first there's mild confusing--120 what?--before she realizes and her eyes widen.] Cookies? That-- That is so many... [Like, obviously, but she's in awe and then gets excited]

Want to try all!

You’ll get sick if you try them all at once…

[Still absent-minded, sorry. Although, to be fair, he’s looking up recipes now. Ever since he became Axel’s shinki, he’s been trying to get up to speed on things like cooking. Having a widespread knowledge of recipes will be for the best, right?]

And they might not have some of them in Japan.

[mermaiding]

Then will not eat all at once. Eat one at time.

[She grins broadly, clearly beyond pleased with herself for the shitty joke.

But she frowns at the implication some might not even exist here] Eh, but... Can just make, yes?

[Oh, so she does have some sense in her. Good, he guesses.]

Do you know how to bake...?

[mermaiding]

Eh... Ehhh.....

[Nope. Clearly not. She scratches her cheek] Can you?

[kokuyoyo]

I'm learning. It's not that hard if you have instructions...

[And boy is he getting a lot of them.]
