Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

Now, now. [a dark chuckle and a little finger wag] A magician never reveals his secrets. ... Plus, I ain't sure if I could explain it to you in a way you'd understand. It'd be like explaining "blue" to a blind person.

[A slight frown, although he has to admit... if it's something he can just do, much like some other abilities he's seen around, he might have a point.]

Does that mean you've tried before, then?

[Zangetsu leans on his sword] I have. It's... [he frowns, trying to think about how he's tried to phrase it before] Like your soul, right? It has it's own... it's own energy. Like everything has it's own smell. Souls have power. I put that soul power into my barrier and changed its characteristics a little. My teacher called it "Reiatsu".

[kokuyoyo]

[It's own energy.... This is starting to sound familiar, and Chikusa quickly realizes why. Raising up his hand, he blinks down on the ring with its bright blue jewel he's kept on since when he first woke up.]

....Can they come in different colors then...?

Well, yeah! [Zangetsu grins] S'far as I can tell, the color is unique to each person. Yoruichi-san's was a kind of... bright, lightning blue, almost white. Urahara's was more just red. And mine is like this. [he pulses his sword with energy, and it seems ablaze with black and red flame]

[...Well. He thinks he has an idea, now. Wordlessly, Chikusa raises up his right hand, revealing a ring on his finger with a light blue gem in the middle. All it takes is a little bit of willpower before a flame erupts from it.]

[...Well. Kind of a flame. There's the flickering shape of it, but something about it is reminiscent of the way light refracts off of water. The fact that the flame is a brilliant blue only drives that comparison further home.]

[Zangetsu leans forward, pupils dilating and shrinking as he focuses on the blue energy. It was quite pretty. He wonders....]

Hold that thought.

[he extends a talon and carefully teases away a "piece" of the energy; an individual swirl of the strange, water-like flame. He then carefully places it on his tongue, eyes closed. He looks like someone savoring a fine wine...

It's... wet-feeling. Heavy. A sensation like slogging through mud, or walking in waist-high water. But peaceful, too. Like spending a rainy day indoors. And the flavor... like the smell of earth after a hard rain]

... Mmmhmm. That's it. That's "reiatsu"! Or, I guess.... reishi. The actual energy, not the force.

No, it's spot on!

[It's fascinating, to watch that energy just get plucked away from the source, although maybe just a little gross when he sees where it goes. Still, it doesn't show on his face, and he just waits patiently until an answer comes.]

So.... Something that could become the force, but isn't there yet.

Right. Like the beam of light, and not the heat it produces. [he grins a bit] Hehehe... it's kind of the opposite of mine, actually. That's funny.

Opposite how…? Because it’s reishi?

[Or is it something else that apparently has to do with literally sticking weird energy in your mouth?]

No, no... like... [he frowns] Yours is like... water. Rain. A stormy day. Mine is more like fire, heat. You know?

[kokuyoyo]

[Ah. A slight nod.]

I guess they're called Rain Flames for a reason, then... I think, anyway.

[No memories are such a nuisance- a thought he's had more than once.]

Anyway.... do you think I could do what you did with your barrier, then...?

Makes sense then!

[spotty memories -- what your "friends" from before are allowed to tell you. It sucks. ]

Mm. I'd guess so anyway. It'll probably have a different effect, though. Mine blows up 'cause... well, all the attacks I use using my reiatsu are explosive and cutting.

That’s fine. And honestly…. I think you just exploding things is enough.

[There do not need to be two people with explosives on hand here.]
