Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[If Izumo looks surprised by the words, he doesn't show it.

Instead, he simply inclines his head, lips curling a bit.]

Don't know where you get the impression that I wanted a god.

[Another drag.

He's lost two already. If you wanna hurt him, try harder.]

So, you've just been tossed around from god to god like yesterday's trash.

[ He shrugs. ]

Can't say I'd want one in your shoes. [ He takes another drag. ] Yet, here you are.

[He laughs.]

Yet here I am.

[And his cigarette is finally out, so he drops it to the ground and steps on it.]

I'll be your Third god.

[ The Third King. Mikoto smirks at the meaningless coincidence. ]

Fate really has a bad sense of humor.

[ He tosses his own cigarette once it's done, crushing it with sole, before pocketing his hands in his sweater. He looks up at the sky, taking a moment to gather his thoughts. ]

Izumo.

[ His voice loses the lazy drawl. ]

Do you hate me?

[ Even if he doesn't remember him, he needs to know. Has to ask. Call it selfish. He always suspected that his oldest friend would have kicked him to the curb if he didn't feel obligated to him with all this King's business. He'd wanted to ask him on more equal terms next time they met, yet fate had a way of screwing up even his most simple plans. Mikoto was used to it by now, learned to roll with the punches, besides perfectly laid out plans only ever worked for Munakata who would have backed off and re-assed by now, but that wasn't his style, so he moved forward, consequences be damned. ]

There's something about it that seems to stick out, but then Mikoto's calling his name and-]

[Hate him?

Izumo furrows his eyebrows.

As far as he can remember, he doesn't know him. Then again, memories have a way of proving to be a double-edged sword in the Far Shore. Even now, even with the small jabs, Izumo still feels--something. Almost something like resentment, but not quite.

Eyes flicker briefly to Mikoto before he looks away.]

No, I don't hate you. [He doesn't. He doesn't remember, but he knows for a fact that he doesn't hate Mikoto.]

[lionhearrt]

[ The magma broiling inside him slows its violent tempest by a fraction. ]

Heh.

[ He smiles to himself. ]

I can't say I hate you either.

[toremainbehind]

Isn't that a relief.

[Izumo cants his head to the side, eyes watching everyone else who had gathered at the training area.

A soft hum.]

[lionhearrt]

Which is why I don't want you at my beck and call.

You don't need a god. [ He looks at him. ] You never did.

[toremainbehind]

[He blinks.

Two blinks.

He chuckles.]

You're starting to get sentimental on me. [He doesn't need a god, but the Heavens don't seem to agree.

Izumo decides not to comment on it.]

[lionhearrt]

[ He smirks. Same old, same old. ]

Don't get cocky. I might take it personally.

[ He steps out, hands in his pockets. ]

Come on. [ He's said what he needed to say. ] I'll show you your new place.

[toremainbehind]

[Eyebrow raise and Izumo gives a gesture with his hand, smile on his face.]

Lead the way, my liege.

[lionhearrt]

[ He stops, looking annoyed at the title. ]

I'm taking that personally.

[toremainbehind]

[Izumo laughs.]

Alright.

[lionhearrt]

[ You're really annoying sometimes, you know that. Just for the record he's not talking to you the whole way there. Wordlessly, he turns and heads out, if Izumo is behind him, he doesn't check. ]

[It works both ways.

But Izumo is unbothered by it, simply following Mikoto. On the way there, he'll just take out a cigarette and lights one up.

He's not going to start a conversation.]

[lionhearrt]

[ They teleport to the Near Shore and head into the city. Mikoto keeps leading the way until they reach an English-styled pub. He climbs up the stairs and opens one of the double doors and heads inside. He makes his way to the bar and seats himself on one of the stools, while his eyes shift to him gauging his reaction before adding: ]

Its yours.

[The moment he steps foot inside, he stills and eyes it all.

While it may not be too evident, Mikoto may or may not see how bright he seemed to have gotten.

A damn pity since he's just opened up his own bar somewhere else in the city, but he's not going to complain. He'd rather not have too many customers in this place, anyway - that's a thought for another time.

Don't mind Izumo as he studies the bar, instinctively getting behind the counter and seeing what exactly it has to offer.

Already, it feels like home.]

[lionhearrt]

[ A small smile lingers at his mouth. He knows Izumo well enough to know he approves. ]

Mind if I have a drink?

[toremainbehind]

[Oh, he approves, alright.

Eyes flicker over to him and Izumo smiles.]

Sure thing. You have a preference?

[Otherwise, he'll go with his instinct to make Mikoto a drink.]

[lionhearrt]

[ He shakes his head. ]

Anything's fine.

[toremainbehind]

Alright.

[He won't bother making any mixed drinks.

Mikoto looks like a guy who likes it strong, anyway. It won't take very long before Izumo slides a drink in front of him.]

Here you go.

[lionhearrt]

[ He looks down at the neat whiskey. Not bad. He doesn't down it all instead settles down to enjoy it. ]

[Well then, don't mind if Izumo joins you soon with his own glass.

The companionable silence is nice.]
