Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

..Sometimes, we want things very badly we can't have. [Like memory. Like knowledge. Like... someplace. Dust lowers hie head slightly, and thought he doesn't move, for that moment he seems very far away.] I wish I could tell you that protesting and kicking would help you, but it won't.

[mermaiding]

[She bares her teeth again, more irritated that he's right and she doesn't want him to be.]

But will feel better. [As if in emphasis she picks up one of the swords and throws it, but she's holding it awkwardly and it's heavy so it doesn't really go anywhere. She glares at it too and huffs, shaking her head]

Except us to accept, to do as told? They are stupid. ['They' being the heavens and all] How is there not, ehh... Chaos? People accept. Why? It is stupid.

[mithrarin]

It really doesn't seem to be helping you much. [He's just saying. Dust sits back, kneeling now as he considers her words to better answer them.]

You're a god, right? You have your memory still and everything? [He's guessing that, from her actions and behavior. She seems so attached to what was before here than she has to remember it -- who would be so eager to go back, if they didn't know what awaited them?]

[mermaiding]

Shut up. Not ask you. [grumble grumble. don't call her out like this.

She blinks at the question and glances to him, a bit wary but mostly curious.] Yes, say I am god. Remember-- Remember. Why?

[mithrarin]

[Dust ignores the 'shut up' as it deserves, resting his arms on his legs as he shoves down a brief fit of jealousy. Why did they remember? Why couldn't he?]

[It doesn't last long. When he does speak, it's as calm and quiet as before.]

Then you know what matters to you -- what's important. What are those things?

[mermaiding]

[She doesn't answer for a long moment, looking reluctant. She wants to say 'nothing' but that would be a lie. She draws her knees up and sighs, sulking a little even as she answers.]

Family.

[That's really it. She glances to him out of the corner of her eye] Do you not know what matters to you? SHinki or not, should know. [She assumes he's one based on the questions here]

[mithrarin]

[He shouldn't, and yet his inner voices are clear. Clear enough that her question makes him smile, even as he lifts a hand to ball it into a fist.]

I want to protect and help people. And I like fighting. So I'm willing to go along with all this because I can fight ayakashi and help people.

[Even though he wasn't asked, or given a choice. That doesn't matter. The point is not what he has to do. The point is why he's doing it, and knowing that it matters to him is reason enough.]

I know that doesn't work for you. But think of it this way -- no one here knows what's going on. Why people like you and me are getting pulled here to fill these roles. The thing is... if you just fight and refuse to help, you won't get any closer to finding out. But if you play the game, you can learn the rules -- and understanding what's going on is the best way towards finding out how to get back to your family.

[mermaiding]

Simple. [But her tone is approving. It's better when things are simple and straight forward, honestly.

She gives him an irritated look though. He's right, again, and again she doesn't want him to be. She wants to be difficult and lash out and throw her tantrums; she wants to sneer at him that it doesn't matter if she gets home, she won't be seeing her family, can't until she gets her tail back.

But it would be cruel to do so, when he's apparently trying. So stuck between fighting and giving in, neither of which she wants, Oona turns away with a loud huff. 'Whatever,' she seems to be saying.]

People have not found ways to return yet. Am not hopeful. But fine. Play stupid games. But will not enjoy it!

[mithrarin]

[Dust understands anger and frustration. He'd had more than his share when he first arrived here, as well. Only by learning of how he can do what he wants to do -- after discovering what it is he wants to do -- did he start to accept his role and place here.]

I'm not asking you to, at least. ...Though beating up some ayakashi might be a good way to work out some frustrations.

[mermaiding]

Yes, think that would help. [She snorts, amused, and smiles despite herself.]

Fight and hit, would help. But hitting these... These? Not so fun. Suppose will have to do. [Until she can go and just beat up someone else or something.]

Fight, ehh... Aya... Aya-things? Could fight them, yes?

[mithrarin]

That's the plan. That's what we're supposed to do. [Well, among other things, but who is he to dictate how she does divinity? Besides, at the moment, maybe getting her involved in answering any other prayers wouldn't be the best idea.] And training here in the meantime.
