Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[It's that quick talking that makes this shinki blink slowly. What is Final Destination? His appearance is a bit...strange to. Is he part ayakashi? She doesn't sense anything off about him. What a strange but eager boy. Hmm...

But she smiles politely at Davespirte as she pulls out a white tasuki cord and starts tying back the sleeves of her seafoam green kimono.]

How are you with borderlines? Everyone here is at such different levels it's diffifult to gauge just by looking.

[Davesprite's first thought is that this girl looks pretty young, but judging by the way she pulls out that cord and starts tying up her sleeves as a matter of course, this isn't her first rodeo.

However, he doesn't make the connection that she's a native shinki. At the question, he gives a somewhat casual shrug, as if still thinking on the question.]

If you want specifics, I don't have much, but I can make them. Can't hold them more than a few seconds, but damn if they don't work their ass off in those few seconds.

Have you put much time in to practicing them more? A few seconds is good but adding even two or three more seconds can be life saving to you and your god. But, that is a good start!

[She can't really take her eyes off the other shinki. For something so strange what with the sword in his stomach, wings and ghostly tail, he's such a pretty shade of orange too!]

[Davesprite's wings rearrange themselves in what could be interpreted as a self-conscious motion, even as his face remains impassive.]

Yeah, I've tried, but I can't seem to get the time thing down. I don't know if it's a problem with focus or how I'm training or what, but if you've got pointers then I will take that shit gladly.

[He's definitely getting the implication that she's knowledgeable about borderlines, and he...really isn't, admittedly.]

I would have to see how you're trying to figure that out...

[She hums thoughtfully, sorry Davesprite, those wings of yours are too pretty to ignore. Her eyes keep drifting absently to them]

Why don't you make a borderline for me and hold it for as long as you can? We'll go from there!

[People randomly staring at his wings is familiar enough to Davesprite by this point that it's just kind of a natural assumption he makes of what people are probably going to be looking at any given time he talks to them. This girl is no different, so he carries on with the conversation as (relatively) normal.]

I mean, the fact that learnt secondhand off someone who learnt off one of the experienced shinki probably isn't doing points in favour of me actually knowing how to properly practice these things, so I'd take a guess that's where the problem is.

[Still, he takes her suggestion, leaning down to draw a line and create the associated barrier. It starts off strong and clear, so he at least seems to know what he's doing on that front.]

[Kaede steps forward and reaches out to lightly press her fingertips against the glowing barrier. It's strong, which is good..]

Do you always draw a line that way?

[Davesprite makes sure to put extra effort into holding the line as she feels it out, but the edges are starting to wear even with this brief time, making his timing problem rather obvious.]

Yeah, that's how I was told it was done, never really tried otherwise except the one time I tried drawing it with my sword instead to see if it worked.
