Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[ Bandou blinks at the man before grinning wide. ]

Yeah?

[ Okay, so he was bad at wielding this flame now, but for whatever reason, this stranger has faith in him. Which is... a nice feeling. ]

[lionhearrt]

[ In answer, he opens his hand and a fireball bursts to life purring gently in his palm. ]

[chickshades]

[ He really shouldn't be surprised by someone else having a fire ability. They all had some sort of power. But seeing the man's hand holding a flame seemed familiar - it was something he'd seen in one of those visions he had not too long ago. That friend of his - Shouhei was his name, right? - he'd reached out and shook someone's flame engulfed hand...

Bandou shakes his head, trying to rid his mind of the thought. It was odd enough to somehow regain, what he believed to be memories without having any sort of backlash. But he knew it could be dangerous to try and remember anything beyond what he was shown. ]

That's pretty cool. A bunch of people here can use fire. It's not my shinki power, so I was probably really awesome with it when I was alive!

[ --when I was alive...

Molten lava compresses and expands, churning violently inside him as he abruptly kills the flame to force back an overflow. ]

[ He shows none of this to Bandou and instead pockets his hand in his jacket before flicking his gaze to him. ]

Hmmn.

How many others can use it?

[ How many more had been lost? ]

[chickshades]

I know my boss can. Kusanagi Izumo.

[ He looks to the side, trying to remember if he actually knew any of the other's names. ]

Some other people, too. Only seen them when a bunch of us are out fighting off a large group of ayakashi, so it's probably a power they got here.

[lionhearrt]

[ His boss.... somehow that simple line has the lava slowing its violent churns. Even without their memories... they gravitated toward each other. ]

You work for him?

[chickshades]

Yeah. His old god had a diner. But that guy left, so Izumo opened up a pub.

[ Training obviously on halt for the moment, Bandou extinguishes the flame in his hands and mimics Mikoto in shoving them into his pockets. ]

Good thing he kept me on, I need the cash.

[lionhearrt]

[ A pub. He should have known. The unexpected answer tugs a smile at the corner of his mouth. ]

What. You're god doesn't pay you?

[chickshades]

No, He does. It's good to have extra, though.

[ Hey, games and movies can get pricey. ]

So, did you just get here?

[lionhearrt]

[ Good answer, Bandou. You just saved your god a visit from the Red King. ]

Hnnm.

[ He answers in affirmative. ]

You?

[chickshades]

[ Don't hurt his god, King. He's a cool guy and really cares about him. Plus he's a sword. Don't you just love swords :D ]

No. I think it's been three months, maybe?

[ It seems like so much longer than that, too. Wow, a lot has happened. ]

[lionhearrt]

[ Three months... it must be the timeline differences he'd been told about. He shrugs. It doesn't really matter. It doesn't change the facts.

He looks at Bandou only then noticing one very crucial thing - ]

What happened to your glasses?

[chickshades]

[ Forget the fact that this stranger who just got here shouldn't know about his glasses, Bandou's too busy getting that familiar petty look on. He huffs, crossing his arms over his chest. ]

They broke. Some asshole hit me in the face with a volleyball last week. Broke my nose, too.

[ Which, through the magic of healing powers is all better now, bruised eyes included. ]

[lionhearrt]

[ A look. ]

It doesn't look broken.

[chickshades]

Yeah, Izumo's old god could make this fried rice that could heal things. Pretty awesome. It worked for my broken ribs, too.

[lionhearrt]

[ Calmly. ]

Who broke it?

[chickshades]

This idiot named Donut.

[lionhearrt]

[ Donut. His lips turn up. ]

Next time, catch it with your hands not your face.

[ Time to pay someone a visit. ]

[chickshades]

[ Damnit, even you're gonna mock him, Mikoto-san?! ...wah Bandou's life is suffering. ]

I wasn't trying to get hit!

[lionhearrt]

[ At least he's going to track him down for you. And be very disappointed when he finds out he's gone ]

And the broken ribs?

[ You weren't trying to get hit then either? ]

[chickshades]

[ Damn you, Donut, getting off scratch-free! ]

I was protecting my god.

[lionhearrt]

[ There's a pause there. ]

Protecting?

[ What happened? ]

[chickshades]

[ And here's where Bandou's inability to find a quick solution to a problem that doesn't involve himself getting hurt shows itself. ]

He was about to get hit by a car. I jumped in the way so he wouldn't.

[ Which, to him, makes all the sense in the world. So what if Kane-san is a god who probably wouldn't be hurt by a car anyway or that Bandou could have drawn a borderline and protected both of them. ...and the idiot complains that Shouhei does things without thinking first. ]
