Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!

Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[Ah. A god as old as one of his shinki. He spies his random assignment being a little girl and quickly teleports back to his temple to get his big white jacket on. He hadn't planned on wearing it at all so that he could train at his fullest potential, but with such a young girl... ah... yeah he's not gonna go at his full potential anyway. He has a plan though! Beyond putting his jacket back on.

He approaches Nanako without a weapon and clears his throat. He still doesn't have a hat on so she's going to see clear as day he's not human.]

Hey there - I was assigned to train with you. I had an idea - what do you say to teleporting training? Like... a game of tag?

[ Nanako doesn't mind so much that he's not human, although he reminds her a little of Mister Aymeric when she glances up to eye him quizzically. She's a little shy, having been approached by so many strangers today, but it helps that everyone here is a god or their shinki, so they must be alright, right? ]

You want to play?

[ She sounds surprised, and a little hopeful, because she knows there's not a lot she can do here like the other gods who are all busy sparring and using magic - none of which she knows how to do well yet.

But his offer has a smile slowly growing on her face, brightening her entire expression at the possibility of finding something she might actually be able to do. ]

I'm not very good at teleporting yet. But if you show me how, I can try?

That's what I was hoping - to help you get better at it by playing the game.

[And thus try to help her think about Dodging and Escape over risking her own life.]

But sure, we can work on the basics first. Then it'll be a touch for a point. Most points before we have to switch will win. But practice round first!

[He points over to the refreshments area.]

That's not a far distance, right? Can you close your eyes and picture being over there by the drinks and snacks?

[ She hasn't done this much on her own, but she's seen Soiji and some of the other gods do it enough - both with her and without - that she thinks she might have the gist of it.

Still, she worries her lower lip between her teeth in concentration a moment before taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, trying to summon up that same feeling she'd had when her brother had transported them, picturing where she wanted to be very intently.

A tug, a blink of light behind her eyelids, and a moment later she's reappearing across the training area next to the refreshment table. She gasps in surprised delight at having accomplished it all by herself and looks around for the man who was training her, throwing her arms in the air in victory when she spots him. ]

I did it! Did you see?

Good job!!

[He gives her a thumbs up before teleporting over next to her, easily enough since he's done this sort of thing before. He's not sure he can give her a hug, or should, but he does offer his hand for a high five. Maybe that'll be good enough encouragement?]

And on your first try really concentrating on it too! Think you can get back to where we started? If you can do that, maybe we're ready for tag.

[Especially if she's going to get good enough at it to not need that much focus time.]

[ That's great encouragement and she enthusiastically takes him up on it, exuberant as she returns his high five.

When he gives her the next challenge, she doesn't look as uncertain this time and glances back to where they'd been standing a moment before. She is careful to concentrate again and a moment later reappears in the spot she'd vanished from before.

Thrilled, she gives a little cheer, giggling all the while, pleased that she managed to do it all by herself for once. ]

That's not so hard!

[Her laugh really does melt his heart a bit. If only his own childhood had been so carefree, enough to smile and enjoy things like this game.]

Alright, and now that you've got that down, we can play the game. You know Tag, surely?

[He teleports a few feet away from her.]

Or maybe "Catch me if you can"?

[And he teleports back over where he'd been encouraging her the first time.]

I can play tag!

[ Even though she's never done it quite like this before. Still, she looks excited to try.

She watches him suddenly blink away with no warning and watches as he reappears back where she'd come from. That's easy enough to focus on again and a moment later, she appears right beside him.]

Nice!

[ He taps her on the shoulder gently. ]

Now-

[ And Dokugakuji disappears, only to reappear in a far corner of the compound where two brick walls meet.

From there, he waves to her in a beckoning gesture with a big grin on his face. ]

Tag you're it!

[ She giggles at the tap and then he's gone and her gaze is quick to search the Training grounds to find him again. Fortunately, in his white, he stands out and she quickly locates him again. Concentrating, her nose wrinkled slightly as she focuses, she disappears and reappears at his side once more, reaching out with a quick hand to grab his sleeve. ]

Got you!

Oh no! ... Now's it's my turn to chase you though.

[ He raises one hand towards her slowly like he's going to immediately tag her back, but is actually waiting for at least one chance that she teleports away before going after her. This is her practice for teleporting after all. He wants her to actually 'run away' from him. ]

[ Her mouth drops as she remembers that part of it and quickly scrunches her eyes shut, thoughts scrambling for a location to go hide.

A moment later, she disappears, reappearing under the tree by the refreshment table across the yard where she'd been resting earlier. ]

Alright, here I come!

[ And Dokugakuji makes sure to teleport just outside of arm's reach from her, but does reach out to grab her relatively soon after. He wants her to think he's less than three seconds from getting to her. ]

Gotcha--!!

[ But hopefully she just scrambles away again. ]

[ Oh, she does. Tag is something she definitely knows how to play, and her big brother happens to be fond of surprise tickle attacks, so she ducks his outstretched hand and dodges around the tree trunk. ]

Nope!

[ Using the tree trunk as cover, she attempts to teleport away again before he can catch her, this time aiming for the fountain across the training grounds. ]

Uh oh, looks like she's too fast for the great god Ksitigarbha!

[He laughs deeply, thoroughly enjoying the kind of play that Gojyo and him rarely got to enjoy as kids - once a month maybe.]

Let's see if she can keep it up though!

[Because he does go around the tree trunk, but of course she's vanished. This time he does his best to very quickly survey the area to find her and teleports over there, attempting to touch her shoulder again.]

[ He totally catches her this time. But that's because she's staring up at him with wide eyes. And maybe looking a little bit like she's about to laugh. ]

The great god who???

Ah, it's kind of a mouthful, ain't it?

[He sets her back down.]

Kish-tih-gar-bah. Like that. It's my God assigned name.

[ She giggles again, trying to sound out that mouthful. ]

Kish... Kishty? How do you remember all that?

It's actually one fewer syllable than my real name.

[He holds up both hands, all of his fingers tucked into his fists.]

Kish-tih-gar-bah. [Four fingers go up in turn, leaving his thumb down.] Do-ku-ga-ku-ji. [All five fingers go up on his other hand.]

[ She gives him an awed look. ]

You have really big names, Mister.

[He puts his arms out wide and then flexes for her.]

Big names for a big guy!

[And then he laughs it off too.]

[ She giggles along with him, because that's very true, when put that way. ]

Thank you for helping me learn how to teleport, though!

[ He gives her a very polite, formal nod. ]

You're very welcome. Take care now.

[ And he gives her a wave before heading on to his next practice partner. Hopefully he taught her something valuable. ]
