Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!
Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.
Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.
Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.
Equipment
- Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.
God Training
- Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Shinki Training
- Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Refreshments
- There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[ Demyx shrugs. She can put a hand on it, so... that's good, right? Maybe? Hopefully? ]
You take two fingers just like this-- [ he takes a pointer and middle finger and holds them up together ] --and draw a line. That's all I know!
Took me a couple times to get it right. There's like... a certain speed you have to do it, or something.
that's what makes it fun though
[She extends two fingers, eyes the bare ground in front of herself dubiously, and brings her fingers down. Fast, first. That doesn't seem to be the right speed, or, at least, no line springs up as she does it. There's not even a flicker of light.
She frowns thoughtfully and tries again, a little slower.]
This could take a while.

Then he remembers, belatedly, that he forgot one pretty huge crucial step, (of course): ]
Oh! You’ve gotta imagine the line, too!
[ ...Yeah, that, uh... would’ve helped her a lot, had he remembered to tell her right off the bat. All the more reason he really needs to start writing stuff down or something. ]

[Well, that sounds important.
She's seen a few shinki successfully cast borderlines so far, so she can imagine it clearly: that glittering and impassable light...
This time, she whisks her hand down a bit faster, before she loses the mental image. Light sparks at her fingertips, briefly, and is gone before it can form a line or begin to block anything: but she did it. Wide-eyed, she lifts her hand up to carefully inspect her fingertips. They don't look any different.]

It's kind of sweet how enthusiastic he is, though. Exhausting. But kind of sweet.
She takes a deep breath, focusing on envisioning the barrier, on being absolutely sure that it'll spring up when she casts. She can do it. She'd summoned the spark of one. It's possible, and once she's learned how to do it, she'll start doing experiments to find out why, she tells herself, and whips her hand down in a confident sweep.]
Line!
[This time, it's more than just a spark, even if it's still less than an actual borderline. It's more like a ghost curtain, flickering up behind her fingers and fading just as fast.]

But, okay, honestly? This is still the coolest job he’s ever had. It’s SO much easier than doing things himself! Teaching might just be his new ‘thing’. ]

[ He maintains his enthusiasm throughout, even if cheering isn’t allowed (weh). It doesn’t take nearly as much effort to be supportive as it does to actually physically practice himself, so he’s all-in for this.
...Even if he doesn’t have any more helpful tips. ]

Demyx probably couldn't do "gruff" even if his mouth were superglued shut, though, and so she smiles at him in wry gratitude for the encouragement. At least he's nice.
And one more time! Focusing on the image of the line bursting up, she brings her hand down again.]

[It's possible the spark of light is a little bigger this time.
She couldn't say, but at least there's another one. She's doing something a little closer to right.]

Though by the time the next effort falls short, he's starting to wonder what she could be doing wrong. His head tilts, weight leaning over to one side. Is it something in her hands? Her voice? Her speed?
His brows knit with concern and question. ] Hmmm...

[ Even though she isn't, necessarily. Nevertheless, he pats her shoulder lightly, and his expression seems to do a 180 from its previous state. ]

[She eyes one of the targets, abandoned nearby, and tilts her chin up toward it. Her own borderline casting isn't reliable yet, even if she can sometimes get it to manifest, and she's not sure if that would interfere with cutting anything.]

...Like the best of Storm Troopers, he completely misses the target. The line is somewhere several inches away from it. He looks markedly embarrassed. ]

Okay, so he’s not the most precise with borderlines yet and not nearly the greatest teacher. So what? He’s still new here, and everyone’s gotta start somewhere!
