Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

Okay, so maybe, maybe Viktor was a little offended his god had decided to follow him here. He may not have known what his job entailed but he was perfectly capable of going to training and learning things.

...Possibly.

[Yuri's level of tolerance of Viktor was higher than it really looked on the outside, but he couldn't help but feel a little more irritated than usual by the current situation. He knew if he he made it an order, that would probably mean Viktor would be even less likely to do it, but he was kind of bad at making anything he said come out any other way.]

"Isn't that the entire point of learning? I'll learn spells too, but this looks fun!"

Quit harshing his mellow, Yuri. Sheesh.

Really, though, Viktor wanted his god's approval, so his resistance to the idea of putting the sword down was...well. It was still real, since he did want to learn how to use the sword, but he was honestly just being an ass because riling Yuri up amused him.

[If Viktor really applied himself, Yuri had no doubt that he would actually be pretty successful at learning how to use that sword. It was just a matter of whether or not that would actually happen. Since Viktor didn't remember anything about his past life, Yuri had about zero faith that all the discipline that had been drilled into him would carry over. Viktor could be pretty flighty on his own.]

If you're gonna learn how to fight, at least take it seriously.

"I'm trying to take it seriously! That's why I want to find someone to teach me. Cutting off an arm doesn't sound fun or very effective."

And true, he might be flighty, but when he had a genuine interest in something, it tended to stick. Maybe learning to use a sword would be like becoming fluent in French! Or at least one could hope. And then a bunch of fencing terms, in French, made their way to the forefront of his mind. Because why wouldn't they?

[Viktor could say he was taking it seriously until he was blue in the face, but Yuri wasn't going to believe it until he saw it. It would be great if he did because Yuri knows he needs all the backup he can get, considering he can't exactly fight either, but...]

"Well! I'd say it's best if I learn, then!"

Yuri was just way too grumpy for his own good. There was really no reason something couldn't be enjoyable as well as effective, after all!

"Really, me learning to handle a weapon can only make me more useful to you, right? I'll learn spells too, don't worry so much."

[Yuri bristled.]

I'm not worried!

[He was very worried.]

I just don't want you doing anything stupid and getting hurt because then I'll be down to one shinki and Katsudon isn't any good in a fight.

"How do you know? Have you seen him fight? I haven't, and you never know! Sometimes the quiet ones are really good at it."

Not that he knew. But it was a thing to say.

"I'll be careful, I ~promise~!"
