Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

Shinki, then?

[ This is the smile of someone who never should have been told she was a god. And who is deliberately not rising to that tone. After all, she's something better than magic, or cyborg, or mere human.

She's a celebrity. ]

[It still feels wrong and weird, identifying herself that way, but: okay, she is a shinki. And finding out what she was before -- finding out how she should be introducing herself -- would, if the people she's talked to are right, turn her into a monster.]

That's right.

[She tries to shake off the moment of unhappiness, drawing herself back up.]

[ Hibiki tilts her head so Dana can see she's got a U-shaped crown of laurels tucked behind her ears, looping around the back of her head. ] Apollo.

[ She shrugs. ] Or so they say.

[ This is your cue to tell her it's Perfect. Since you know. That much should be obvious to everyone, correct. ]

I thought it was just an accessory.

[This kid already thinks she's Perfect enough. The laurel wreath and the silver hair do have a very ancient-Greek-statue kind of look to them, though, in combination.]

You're the second sun god I've met so far today. How do you decide who's in charge?

[ ...There are an awful lot of them about lately, aren't there. Hibiki doesn't seem worried. ] I imagine the true radiance will win out, eventually.

[ She's more concerned about performance god things than sun god things. The former will fuel the latter. ]

That'll be interesting.

[Imagine the problems that three or four suns would cause. Starting with gravity and ending with climate, and even if she's not a meteorologist or an astronomer (she thinks) just the thought of the divine personifications of the sun not only being real but fighting it out is giving her a headache.

She'll just assume it's more metaphorical, and move on without thinking about it too hard. This all-gods-being-real bit is not kind to someone who likes her reality concrete and comprehensible.]

[ Concrete and comprehensible is the exact opposite of the world Hibiki hails from. Sometimes even she despairs of that.

Sometimes.

In any case, Hibiki smiles. ] Inscribe upon the annals of your memory that you were the first to hear of my eventual coronation.

[ And she sparkles. She physically. Actually. Exudes purple sparkles. Into the air.

This is not even a god power. She's just. Doing it. Of her own accord. ]

[Scully's stare, for a moment, is redolent of why is this my life.

Well, apparently, because she's talking to a god with a dramatic streak. She shakes her head.]

Is the sun going to end up purple, too?

[ From the rather sharp smile that sparks in Hibiki, she certainly wouldn't mind. ]

Look forward to it.

[ Hibiki seems to think this conversation is over, then, from how deeply she's drinking from her teacup. Or maybe she's trying to look Sophisticated and With It and Collectedly In Control.
