Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

But I think your definition of will is wrong…. So that’s probably a part of the issue.

But that delight is short-lived once Demyx is told he's wrong. Which he probably, actually is, but still. He huffs slightly, drawling out a complaint. ]

When I create a borderline…. I’m not just thinking of it. I’m deciding it exists. I want it to exist…. So it exists.

But if you don’t have that will to decide it exists…. Then it won’t.

There’s a long pause before Demyx finally utters an unemphatic ] ...Huh.

So I decide it exists... and it does.

[ Mind = blown. You’ve done it, Chikusa. Congrats. ]

[The bare minimum of a shrug.]

That’s how I do it… Practice helps make it firmer too.

[ Demyx heaves a long-suffering sigh at the mention of practice, a dreaded thing, practically the bane of his existence. ]

Maaaan... [ He slumps, shoulders visibly falling. ] Practice is such a bummer!

[ But that is why he's here, lest he forget. ]

But thinking something into existence can't be that hard...

Dying is probably more of a bummer…

[Which is ultimately what borderlines are all about. At the question, his head sort of lolls to the side a bit.]

We can become ayakashi and then be killed again, so it’s probably worse, actually.

[....Unless they come back as gods with even more amnesia, as has happened with his own, but you know what.]

[A twitch of a shrug.]

Whoa wait -- we become ayakashi?? You mean those things we're supposed to attack are other shinki?!

[ If so, that's a game-changer. After all, Riku killed one of those things! ] I'm so not comfortable with attacking my own kind!

[ To the latter comment, Demyx pouts. ]

Hasn’t anyone told you about blight…? Or what happens if you remember your past life....

[ Make that a pout and huff now. Still, no rebuttal. ]

[He swear to literal god that the Heavens need to start handing out an informational pamphlet. He really does.]

Blight is like a disease…. Touching an ayakashi with your bare hands spreads it… and if you’re overcome with it… Then a shinki can become one too.

And being told anything about our past lives…. That does it instantly.

[sitarsongs]

[ That wouldn't help, in this case. Demyx probably wouldn't even skim it, then set it aside, and ultimately lose it. Verbal face-to-face isn't even all that effective, usually, but Chikusa has his attention.

Whoa! [ Waving his hands palm-up in front of him. ] No way am I touching one of those things! You don't have to worry about that!

And no one knows anything about my past life--[ so he's convinced, at least ]--so that's a-okay.

And I don’t know if all ayakashi were former shinki… But even if they were, would it really matter….?

[ He blinks, then huffs somewhat. ]

Yeah it would! I don't wanna kill my own kind!

Well they won’t have a problem killing you.

[ Demyx folds his arms. ]

[ Oh, he's huffy now. ]
