Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[He grimaces a bit at the part that's meant to be reassuring. He'd rather choose the entirety of his life than which prayers he answers. It's ridiculous.]

But who controls the 'gods'? Who set up this system anyway?

I... don't even know if that information is even readily available, really. Maybe it's not something there's much of an easy answer to. "It was always there" doesn't sound like a great one, does it? Even if it's a possibility?

But shouldn't there be a way to find out? This system feels like there's an active hand behind it. That's probably why 'it was always so' doesn't feel satisfying, or at all reassuring.

There should be, perhaps, but I don't think anyone's found it just yet.

[If they have, she's somewhat uninformed.]

[He is quiet for a moment, reflecting on what her words might really mean. He's likely not the only one who is unimpressed by his new role.]

So I'm not the only one looking?

I can't be the only one who's curious... right?

[He shakes his head, a small smile on his lips.]

But it seems like there are some people here who know a lot, who have been a part of the system for a long time. And others are much more recently arrived as 'replacements.' Why do gods need to be replaced?

[Why didn't he think of this question before?] Where are the old gods?

[And then, with a eerie chill...] Were there ever old gods?

I don't know about the old gods, about the originals, but... I've met some who have been replaced. There's...

...there's a lot to explain about that, have you been filled in on anything by anyone? Or did they just drop you here with no direction whatsoever?

[maesheteyrah]

[He shakes his head, trying to clear it.]

Someone was explaining some things, but it was kind of a lot to take in at once. Everything here is very different to what I'm used to. [Actually, it seems like nothing is familiar. Not the languages, the clothing, the technology, the geography. Even the food is confusing. Only his temple is familiar, being a replica of the house of worship and study from his home. But it was unfamiliar in its silence and emptiness, and mostly creeped him out.]

I know they want me to be Shai, a god of fate for Egypt. I don't even know where Egypt or its people are.

Not very near here, I can tell you that much. The gods of Egypt, by all account, had basically been dormant for a while, as well, as far as people believing in them went.
