Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

That's... so strange.

Shouldn't I need to earn it?

[Doesn't she need to earn every good thing in her not-life?]

[ Nanako looks a little startled by that. ]

Why should you?

[timeshields]

Isn't that how everything works...? People don't keep their jobs unless they earn them.

But a family isn't a job, it's family.

[ Those are two entirely different things. ]

[timeshields]

They're... both important things?

[She doesn't have her footing here, not really.]

Well, yeah. [ Nanako hums, her face scrunched up as she tries to figure out how to explain it. ]

But a job is just what you do, right? And that can change sometimes. But family is family. That doesn't change. They're the people who are important to you and who are with you no matter what!

[timeshields]

... But people disappear here. I don't know if I'll stay.

[Even if she'd like to, that's not something she can honestly promise.]

[ Nanako's expression drops a little at that, because she's already seen this happen. ]

Yeah, I know. I guess we can't choose that, can we? [ Any more than they chose coming here. ] but what we do while we're here is still important. And you're my family here, Homura. I'm really glad we're friends. Even if you go away, I'll still think of you as my friend.

[timeshields]

[There's a moment or two before she turns away, bringing her hand up to try and dry away her tears.

She has no idea why she was so affected by that, but hearing that. No matter what they're friends- she wants to believe it, but it's so hard to thing anything is permanent.]

[ Oh no! She made her cry! ]

Homura? Are you okay?

[ Worried, Nanako leans forward to fling her arms around the other girl, hugging her tightly. ]

What's wrong? Did I say something bad?

[timeshields]

I'm...

You didn't say anything wrong.

[It's hard navigating around her feelings when she doesn't have the memories to explain them.]

But you're crying! I didn't mean to make you sad.

[timeshields]

I'm not sad.

[There's a pause as she examines her feelings. Yes, she's not sad. But she's...? Hearing something like that doesn't seem real. It's hard to believe, even between Nanako and Souji.]

[ Nanako fumbles around in one of her pockets and comes up with a pink handkerchief with little bunnies on it (because she's a Magical Detective, of course she has one of those on hand) and offers it to Homura with a worried look. ]

Here. Will this help?

[timeshields]

[It's a cute handkerchief and she wouldn't expect anything less from Nanako. She'll take it for now and wipe away her tears.]

Thank you.

[She doesn't believe in things lasting. Even with her history a complete mystery to her-nothing is truly permanent in this world. No matter how much wishing they do.]

If you're not sad, why are you crying?

[ Nanako asks the question gently, sitting beside Homura with her hands propped on her knees and a concerned look still on her face.

They didn't exactly look like happy tears, either. Was there another kind? ]

[timeshields]

I.... I don't know.

[There's a reason, there has to be. But as soon as she tries to think about it, her mind recoils away.]

I don't have the answers.

[ Which... actually told Nanako more than it didn't.

She reaches out again and gives Homura another hug. ]

It's okay. As long as I didn't make you sad.

[timeshields]

[She doesn't pull away, but she's not sure she actually deserves this either.]

[ Stop worrying about deserving everything, Homura. She wants to hug you. ]

You're welcome. Are you hungry? Or I can go get you some tea?

[ Because maybe now she's fussing over her a little. ]

[timeshields]

[That's so much harder than it sounds.]

... I'm fine.

[ Most things are.

Nanako doesn't look exactly convinced, but she nods all the same, letting it go for the time being. ]

Okay but if you need anything, you'll tell me, right?

[ Just let her look after you, Homura. ]

[timeshields]

Of course.

[... not.

Nanako shouldn't have to worry other others, least of all her.]

[ You're lucky Nanako is gullible.

Either way, the answer makes her smile. ]
