Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!

Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.
Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

Equipment
- Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.
God Training
- Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Shinki Training
- Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Refreshments
- There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

In Summary:
- Use the state of the art equipment
- Learn about your job
- Form groups to practice
- Don't get dehydrated
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

I've been here...fuck, two months now, I think. Starting to feel old with all these new people hanging around. Looks like you're handling it pretty well, considering.
no subject
So I've been told.
[ On the outside. ]
It feels like there's so much I don't know, but I try not to think about it. It's enough for me to focus on the immediate, and to keep moving.
Although I imagine you're still adjusting as well.
no subject
She's not wrong about him still adjusting, though, even if Davesprite waves a talon a bit to downplay it.]
I'm settled in better than I ever expected to be just getting in, so I can't make much of a big deal out of it. I mean, half the shit we don't know is what we're not getting answers to anytime soon, so might as well enjoy what parts of the ride you can.
no subject
What do you mean, what we don't know?
no subject
Despite his general lacking seriousness, something of that casual air drops from Davesprite at her question, and he rearranges himself a little.]
How we got here, mostly. Who the fuck's actually doing it, and who's pulling all these sudden heavenly attacks out of their collective ass. You came on a quiet day, by people-showing-up-day standards.
no subject
I just assumed that we were here because we died. ...Although that only seems to apply to shinki.
[ A hand curling at her chin, her smile dropped somewhat abruptly. ]
What do you mean "a quiet day"?
no subject
[And he has to question why exactly dead people from so many different worlds would be drawn to this specific other world's afterlife.
Davesprite's mouth twitches into a brief frown at her question, even if he covers the moment by trying to return things to a bit more casual again.]
Before this and the beach party before that, we had the unrestful dead attacking a festival, a relief effort, the demon summoning that made the relief effort a thing in the first place, and a picnic getting set on fire by someone really fucking pissed at Amaterasu. So basically you're not in active danger of getting double-murdered or dealing with the aftershocks.
no subject
But that wasn't something she needed to share. Quite the opposite, she felt. ]
You mean that the gods are coming here, to the after life. Or, rather, their replacements are.
[ The Far Shore. She spoke to a few, and while it wasn't explicitly said, it was certainly implied. To replace the gods who had come up missing--how? And why were they--
Questions for another time, but the gears were in motion, albeit turning slowly. ]
Then... things like that are more commonplace? Have they always been, or is this a relatively new occurrence?
no subject
[It's kind of galling, in all honesty, even if Davesprite has no trouble remaining casual on the topic. But the fact of the matter is that there's more and more people turning up every other week, and they still don't even know the basic reason why they're here other than the positions the Heavens shunt them into.
When it comes to the topic of attacks, Davesprite just shrugs.]
I can't say shit on what happened before I got here, but before that picnic the other two big things I saw happen were someone setting loose a bunch of mutant ayakashi and the Heavens deciding cleaning up the place made a good welcome wagon. It's pretty fucking common nowadays even if it wasn't before.
no subject
Where Davesprite was able to keep his expression relatively neutral, Lux wore her feelings on her sleeve. Lips drawing together into a fine line, she stood in pensive silence for a moment, processing what he said. ]
Do you know anyone who can, then? Have any of the gods been keeping records? Or any of the shinki for that matter?
no subject
I've seen maybe one or two gods mention setting up a record of that sort of thing. Don't think it ever happened, but it might be worth running back through the BBS and hitting up whoever it was that suggested it. Other than that, usually if you ask someone who's been here long enough they'll drop the infoload on you. My god's been here a pretty long time and basically falls over her shit to help other people, so she might have what you're looking for.
no subject
[ She spoke slowly, obviously in thought, one hand curled at her lips and the other rested in the crook of her elbow. Head bowed slightly as she considered this, she frowned. ]
I doubt everyone would want to cooperate with something like that. Honestly, I don't blame them, a possible invasion of privacy like that. But something on the books like that would be useful. Do you know who had been working on that project beforehand?
no subject
[Given Davesprite's passive remark on it, it's hard to tell whether he himself is that concerned about the privacy issue, but he moves on soon enough to the question of who was doing it.]
...Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure Aidos was one of the ones who brought it up. Scroll back through the BBS far enough and you should find the post anyway.
no subject
Aidos.
[ Committing that name to memory, she nodded simply. ]
I suppose I'll start my search there. Thank you for your help.
[ A beat, and then a smile. ]
And for the wit earlier. It was fun.
no subject
[In Davesprite's experience, that's one of the more annoying things about the network. Shinki could at least recognise each other by the names they use online, but if a god doesn't choose to introduce themselves by god name then they might as well be anonymous.
At the remark on wit, the corner of Davesprite's mouth turns very faintly upwards.]
Don't mention it. I offer the juiciest of wit to any thirsty followers who can actually keep up with a conversation with me for more than two sentences.
