Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!
Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.
Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.
Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.
Equipment
- Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.
God Training
- Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Shinki Training
- Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.
Refreshments
- There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[ Honestly, he’s not dying to know; they can always talk about that later. Right now, the important thing is, borderlines! It’s pretty much the one cool thing Demyx has learned after coming here, and he’s more than willing to share.
Of course, he’s still new to this, but teaching -- as he’s only recently discovered -- is so much easier than actually, personally practicing, himself, (if only because his only main task is talking, and he does that all the time anyway). Only problem is, Demyx has yet to master the art of clear and concise explanation. So... this will be fun. For one of them. ]
You take your fingers like this-- [ he holds his fingers in a ‘scout’s honor’ sort of gesture ] --point them at the ground, think about drawing a line, and do it.
[ Demyx then pauses, scratching his cheek thoughtfully. ] You’re supposed to yell when you do it, too. Like, “line”! Or something.
You can do it! Give it a try!

He holds his fingers out, trying to mimic the gesture Demyx made, and thinks really hard about drawing a line.]

[...nothing happens. Probably because it's hard to just think about lines. His thoughts kind of wandered, but who can blame him? He's just going to have to try again.
It takes a few more tries before he frowns and yells even louder.]

[That last one produces...something. It's actually a marginal success.]

How effective, however, and at what exactly, that's all still a bit fuzzy. He's got the general ideas down, at least, even if the details are missing. Hey, he's a newer shinki, after all; arguably not the man for this or any teaching position. Though he is -- admittedly and apparently -- thoroughly pleased at Sakon's determination in this, if nothing else. ]

[ He's drowned out anyway after a moment or two. Sakon sure likes the yelling part, doesn't he? Well, to each their own. Whatever helps him.
Unlike the others before, the last attempt actually yields something: a line that flashes, and flickers out in a moment. Still, that's progress! ]
Yeah, you got it! Just gotta make it stick around next time!

[Okay, it took him a while, but he just had to get his head in the right place, that's all.]

[This time it definitely produces a barrier. Who knows how it will hold up against an attack, but it certainly looks cool!]

[ And Demyx doesn't hold those prior attempts against his friend at all, either. In fact, it's really awesome that he's tried so hard, and now he's finally getting it! There's a final, resolute-sounding command this time before the line is drawn again, and sure enough, a glowing barrier springs up from the ground.
...Prepare for imminent tackle-glomping in 3...2...1... ]

[ Well, okay, it's not so much a full-on embrace as it is a vigorous patting on the back and an arm around the shoulders, but still -- he's so proud! It doesn't even matter how strong the line is. ]

[As much as he'd like to go show it off to Ayumu, he has a feeling his god isn't going to be terribly impressed that he's learned to do something he should have known how to do weeks ago. So he's just going to have to get better at it so he can use it in a fight like he's supposed to.]

[ Something that Demyx has very, very little interest in learning, honestly. He’d rather stick to the “un-violent” parts, thanks. That’s way more his style. ]

[He smiles, a little nostalgic and fond. He kind of misses the little guy, but not how restless he was starting to get just sitting around the temple and playing games all the time.]
So I'm kind of playing catch-up! Gotta make sure the new god is impressed, you know! She's had a lot of shinki before and I gotta make sure I measure up.

[ Maybe that kind of life doesn’t suit Sakon, but it suits Demyx just fine. Hell, if he had a guitar or some other musical instrument at home, he’d probably never leave the temple and be perfectly okay with that. His only regret or complaint is that they don’t talk; that they don’t appear to be friends, just... people who exist in the same space from time to time. But honestly, a loudmouth like the blond would probably slip right under his god’s skin in a matter of sentences anyway, so maybe it’s for the best.
Anyhow, needless to say, he isn’t here because Kija asked him to be; Kija hasn’t asked him to do anything, really. Not yet, at least. No -- he’s here because Riku told him he can’t keep running away; that eventually, the monsters will catch up. He’s got to learn to protect himself, because Riku won’t always be there with blade in-hand to strike them down and save the helpless, hapless shinki he was. (Or is. Opinions may vary.) ]
That sounds kinda intimidating! [ Multiple shinki? Having to compare to them? He’s way too much of an underachiever for that! ]

[He's heard her give different names to different people, but he's pretty sure the one she gave him to use is the real one. Still, he should probably identify her by her god name instead of her personal one, since she seems to be trying to keep that one under wraps.]
Vesta...? Vesta, yeah. It's her me and Ross right now, but I know she's had a bunch of shinki before us.
[He doesn't know Ross particularly well, but he did try to get to know Hibari while he was with them. Which didn't last. Which is a shame because Hibari had a cute dog. Priorities.]

[ He scratches his cheek in thought for a moment before relenting with a cavalier sort of shrug. ] Nope! Never heard of her.

...Wait a sec -- gods can ditch them? He’s surprised Kija hasn’t done that already, if so. While on one hand, that knowledge is now reassuring, no matter what Eno or anyone else says Demyx still can’t quite fully shake the notion that his god just plain doesn’t like him. They don’t talk; don’t pal around like other gods and their shinki do. More than that, though -- Kija doesn’t even call on him at all.
Part of him is glad for that, since a vacation is a vacation, right? And he’s totally not comfortable with fighting! But he could be a powerful shinki, if he tried! Maybe even useful! But... ]

[ This might give him an out. To the later comment, however, he purses his lips thoughtfully and squints. ] Why would people be upset about that? If it’s for the best and stuff...

[Sakon's brow furrows slightly as he thinks that over. To be honest, the idea is so alien to him that it's kind of slid off his brain any time someone gets talking about it. He's the sort who's loyal to his last breath, so he can't imagine why anyone would just leave, especially in the way that meant you were a stray who didn't belong to any one god.]
I mean, I'd never do it, so I don't really get it at all...

But that only leads to further muddled thoughts. And, Demyx being Demyx, he’s in no particular hurry to sift through them. Not when it’s easier to toss them to the wayside and focus on things that are more fun.
Needless to say, however, that he doesn’t feel as though he’d be a stray; or at least, he’s not frightened by it, for once. He’s got friends here, even beyond Sakon -- like Eno and Kairi, Sora, Sorey, and Dana! And he doesn’t like fighting, so he’d be running from any ayakashi that try to hunt him down anyway, so he’d be fine! Right? But if going off on his own is going to make people upset, well... that changes things. ]
