Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!

Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.

Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[It's longer and not a real title but that's what he takes away from this.]

There is only one Valkyrie at a time, though there are three of us who might wear the title. Though I still possess its power... [Did Odin and Freya awaken Hrist in her place? Could they? Surely they must have, and never mind that she still has her armor, even her wings...]

But to most, the name of the Valkyrie means nothing. The role is all that matters. What does it matter the name of the goddess, when she stands before you to decree whether you shall join the gods or be resigned to Niflheim?

Pretty sure it matters when there's someone bringing gods here - does that mean it's you?

['Join the gods' sounds awfully close to what's going on here, enough to make him suddenly VERY suspicious of this Valkyrie woman, never mind being confused about what Niflheim is. He's starting to wonder if that's the state Shinki end up in, considering she's talking about a two-way option that you don't get to choose but she decides.]

You misunderstand. The duty of the Valkyrie exists only in my proper place. Here it is not even considered a god -- the pantheon that included the other Aesir does not include me in its number. Thus here I have been assigned the mantle of Osiris.

[He's not 100% convinced but then bad guys rarely made such direct overtures about their motives, right?]

Osiris. That's a god name in... which pantheon then? Never heard of it.

[Of course he doesn't let on that he's not heard of several gods upon meeting them, but he's just trying to coax more information out of her at this point.]

The -- Egyptian pantheon. [The name is foreign on her tongue and emerges only with some thought and concentration. Truly this panoply of pantheons baffles her.] I had never heard of god nor pantheon before either, of course.

Really? Cuz I'd at least heard of Buddhism before I got name a god of it.

[He pulls at his neck a bit.]

Which is weird too, cuz I thought Buddhism didn't really have gods? Bodhisattva, sure, but gods...?

[More words that register as such nonsense to her mind, such that she shakes her head to try to clear it of confusion.] In Asgard, we are the gods. There are no others to compete with us, no one else to worship. The Vanir and the Jotun are not caretakers of Midgard, of course, yet that does not make then 'a different pantheon' as this place would have it.

[He's at least willing to ask what those words mean.]

Vei-neer? Yoh-toon? [Said with something resembling an East-Asian accent from his little anachronistic corner of the world.] I can't say I've heard of those either - are they like... assistants to the gods without being gods themselves? Or supernatural helpers of the mortal races maybe?

Both are residents of the upper realms of Asgard, but whereas we Aesir are the true gods, they are giants -- and, especially as regards the Vanir, our enemies. [The temperature practically drops thirty degrees on that last word. Ragnarok, the final battle between the two, is nigh, after all.]

Wow, giants... [The kinds of things he's really only heard in stories.] So you're... part of the army of heaven? [That sounds awfully familiar.]

I am a goddess, an Asgardian. There is no difference between a god and a warrior -- though know that I am the Battle-Maiden, the Chooser of the Slain, and it is by my judgment that souls may become Einherjar and ascend to the ranks of godhood, to fight alongside the armies of Valhalla.

[Especially with her imperious and dispassionate delivery, this all sounds like prideful boasting. She doesn't mean it that way; these are simply facts to be recited.]

[He takes it as both - a boast that happens to include facts. If she's that tied up with people of power, he can't really blame her though, can he? He loves telling people about how awesome his prince is.]

Okay so not quite an army of heaven. [Like in his own world's and the current one's Buddhist belief system.] But a warrior. So I understand that much.

[And can respect it.]

My duty is -- or ought to be -- recruiting and training the army of heaven, if you would have it so. A duty I will continue here... though there seems to be no way to send my Einherjar to be properly elevated once they are trained.

[Frustrating, indeed, to have duty she cannot fulfill.]

Yeah that's... definitely not my call.

[He points over at Bishamon.]

It'd be someone like hers or maybe her boss's. Bishamonten's the war god around here. I'm just the guy who takes care of hellbound souls.

I will speak to her, but the entire system appears to be quite inscrutable. [To her immense irritation.]

Well... good luck with that.

[He doesn't blame her. He's got his own issues with how things are run too. But he also respects the ranking around here and he's somewhere in the lower echelon at present.]

In the meantime... should you wish training, now or later, I shall provide. [Considering this a quite adequate summations of what matters most, Lenneth nods her head slightly and returns to her appraisal of the assembled.]
