Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[ Being six, she was still pretty strongly opposed to naps. Sorry, Zeno. ]

It's supposed to be hard work, though. Isn't it? Training is important, right?

Oh yes. [For other people, anyway. When you recover from everything, including tiredness and starvation, it's less so, and Zeno can't quite push himself pass that bias.]

But so is relaxing after training, or else all the training won't settle and soak into your mind and body, it'll just get pushed aside by the next thing.

[ Her eyes are a little wide at that. ]

Really? Is it that important?

Of course! Why do you think you have to sleep every night?

It's so all the new things can soak in!

[ Because her dad tells her to? That's probably not the right answer, though.

As it is, she just looks like she totally believes his answer. Because she's six. And gullible. ]

I didn't know that!

It's true. [...maybe, in a roundabout way, but not really...?] Think about it! Otherwise you'd be working or playing nonstop, with hardly any time to think at all. That's why it gets so dark, too. So you're not distracted. It helps keep your thought all healthy and straight, and that makes the rest of you energetic and happy the rest of the time.

I guess. [ She doesn't look entirely convinced, but she also can't think of any good reason to argue that. ] I still don't like naps though. But I guess, if everyone else is sleeping too, then I'm not missing anything fun, right?

Do you think you're missing anything fun right now, though? [He nods to the shinki they were watching.]

Maybe. [ That's a whole different problem, Zeno. ] I'm still trying to figure out what my god power is, though. I should probably try and go train more...

It took Zeno a long time to find mine. [Casual encouragement; it happens to adults, too.]

Training's a good idea. For Zeno it just popped up randomly in a bad situation! If you try training, miss will be more in control of it.

That's what someone else told me, too. [ But nothing had happened at the festival when there were monsters everywhere. Maybe because she'd still been too new and not looking for it then? ]

I'll keep trying. [ At least she's very determined. ] I want to be able to help more, too.

Wanting to is the first step. But it's weird, because sometimes just wanting something to happen makes it... harder, somehow. A watched pot doesn't boil.

Why indeed! Maybe Zeno just feels that way while waiting for it.

Zeno may have to test it for real.

[ She giggles at his answer. ]

I think it would boil both ways! But if you're not watching, then it could boil everywhere and make a mess, though.

The young miss advises Zeno not to test it, then? Sounds fair... though Zeno will have to be distracted from the agony of not knowing for sure.
