Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[ It seems like so much longer than that, too. Wow, a lot has happened. ]

[ Three months... it must be the timeline differences he'd been told about. He shrugs. It doesn't really matter. It doesn't change the facts.

He looks at Bandou only then noticing one very crucial thing - ]

What happened to your glasses?

[chickshades]

[ Forget the fact that this stranger who just got here shouldn't know about his glasses, Bandou's too busy getting that familiar petty look on. He huffs, crossing his arms over his chest. ]

They broke. Some asshole hit me in the face with a volleyball last week. Broke my nose, too.

[ Which, through the magic of healing powers is all better now, bruised eyes included. ]

[lionhearrt]

[ A look. ]

It doesn't look broken.

[chickshades]

Yeah, Izumo's old god could make this fried rice that could heal things. Pretty awesome. It worked for my broken ribs, too.

[lionhearrt]

[ Calmly. ]

Who broke it?

[chickshades]

This idiot named Donut.

[lionhearrt]

[ Donut. His lips turn up. ]

Next time, catch it with your hands not your face.

[ Time to pay someone a visit. ]

[chickshades]

[ Damnit, even you're gonna mock him, Mikoto-san?! ...wah Bandou's life is suffering. ]

I wasn't trying to get hit!

[lionhearrt]

[ At least he's going to track him down for you. And be very disappointed when he finds out he's gone ]

And the broken ribs?

[ You weren't trying to get hit then either? ]

[chickshades]

[ Damn you, Donut, getting off scratch-free! ]

I was protecting my god.

[lionhearrt]

[ There's a pause there. ]

Protecting?

[ What happened? ]

[chickshades]

[ And here's where Bandou's inability to find a quick solution to a problem that doesn't involve himself getting hurt shows itself. ]

He was about to get hit by a car. I jumped in the way so he wouldn't.

[ Which, to him, makes all the sense in the world. So what if Kane-san is a god who probably wouldn't be hurt by a car anyway or that Bandou could have drawn a borderline and protected both of them. ...and the idiot complains that Shouhei does things without thinking first. ]

[lionhearrt]

[ He stares. He jumped in front of a car for his god.... ]

What, are you stupid.

[chickshades]

I wasn't gonna let him get hurt!

[lionhearrt]

[ He moves to knock him over the head. ]

Don't do that again.

[chickshades]

Ow... okay, fine.

[ He covers the top of his head, protectively, when it occurs to him... ]

Why does it matter to you, anyway?

[lionhearrt]

[ Rather than answer him, Mikoto digs into his jacket and pulls out a cigarette, needing a smoke to calm him down. He ignores his clansmen in favor of lighting it with a flick of his finger before taking a long drag. Once the smoke clears his lung, Mikoto rubs his temple feeling a headache starting up.

Dammit Bandou. You stress him out! ]

[chickshades]

[ Hey, you're the one who accepted him into the family! Deal.

Also, you have such a way with words, Mikoto-san. Bandou waits for a bit, but once it seems like he's not getting an answer he shrugs. ]

Are you a god, then?

[lionhearrt]

[ It's at times like these that he's not quite sure why he even needs a family. ]

Hmmn.

[ He makes a noise in the affirmative. ]

[chickshades]

[ He needs his family, and they need him. Bonds that run thicker than blood! ]

Ah.

[ Okay, this could be a dangerous question, but... ]

That fire...is that your god power? Or did you have it back home, too?

[lionhearrt]

[ Don't remind him. You guys made Heaven a total hassle. And worth it. ]

.........

[ Golden eyes lock onto him, assessing. You're prying, Bandou. ]

It's not my god power.

[ Mikoto didn't make a habit of lying to his men. He omitted, but never lied. Not to them. ]

[chickshades]

Just wondering.

[ He breaks his gaze with Mikoto and, instead, just stares out across the training field. He knows he shouldn't ask, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't curious. Getting back a teasing handful of memories will do that to you. Subconsciously, his hand raises to rub absently at his stomach - right where that, apparently not-so-unique, tattoo is located. ]

[lionhearrt]

[ Mikoto knows where each mark mars his men's skin. He goes silent. That simple gesture enough of a warning - Bandou's lingering on the mark, on his past. ]

...........

[ Suddenly, his hand lights up, not with red flames, but white. Like the sun, they're impossible to look at directly. ]

A cleansing fire.

[ He explains. Unlike his destructive red aura these flames were meant to purify. ]

My god power.

[chickshades]

[ When the light suddenly springs up next to him, Bandou instinctively looks. But the flame is so intense that he has to immediately avert his eyes. ]

That fire can heal people?

[ better keep that in mind for the next time he gets himself hurt ]
