Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

I am! I still haven’t gotten the hang of borderlines yet… But I’ve found out I’m really acrobatic!

[And she really is happy about this, her small frame swelling with pride and eyes shining.]

I didn’t realize I was until I started trying out some things, and I think I’m pretty good!

[ She was a performer? Instantly Hibiki tables the question "what's a borderline", since it's probably less important. ]

I'd like to see that.

[ She'll judge for herself how good you are. And her judgment can be trusted as absolute! ]

[That kind of order would rankle, usually, but she’s so riding high on her own pleasure that she doesn’t mind so much right now. Instead, she just starts to bounce away to a clear area.]

No laughing! I’m still figuring out everything I remember, and this guy I know told me to just work on the basics until I’m sure about things. If there was a little more variety to the things we could mess around with here….

[A shake of her head as she settles on a spot.]

Well that’s a problem for another time! Anyway, watch!

[Trotting up ahead, she whirls around with a deep breath. It’s not to settle nerves, this time, but her excitement. Having something she knows feels amazing, like finding her balance on a tightrope. It’s not a lot to be under her feet, but it’s better than nothing.]

[Bursting forward, Wendy immediately leaps into a forward flip, landing like she’s practiced this a hundred times before even as she springs into another one, her body tucked expertly. Another, and then a flip back, and she twists around to look at Hibiki.]

[ Wait, right here, right now? She'd meant hypothe--

Well, Hibiki isn't going to turn down a free show. Her eyebrows raise as she watches, and when Wendy's done, she grins. You even get some light, gentlemanly applause. ]

Magnificent. A suppleness worthy of a prima ballerina. The particular milieu smacks of popular entertainment, but...

[ Could she have been misled into thinking this girl is a follower when she is, in fact, a genius? Those motions seemed more practiced, but even so - the technique was executed perfectly. Wendy's body and heart remember even if her mind doesn't.

This definitely merits further observation. ] You have a bright future.

[Hibiki has an amazing talent for, in the same breath, saying something that makes Wendy went to kick her in the shins but also something that makes the urge lessen up.]

[In this case, she's not sure what "millieu" means, and it feels like 'popular entertainment' is said in a less than nice way.... But... She raises a hand to one cheek.]

A ballerina? Really?

[ Hibiki nods. ] A wonderful talent to have discovered.

[ She means that. She really, honestly means that.

How typical of her, to have attracted such a skilled First Worshipper! Her eyes never lead her astray. ]

Well… I’m not sure if I know anything about ballet…. But it can’t hurt to at least look, right?

[Besides, amidst all the weird god things and shinki training, having a new hobby could be fun, right? Unexpectedly good ideas from Hibiki, of all people.]

I wonder if there are other shinki or gods who know about that kind of thing?

We'll see. [ There is one standing Right Here, but would it be putting too fine a point on it to make that observation? It also more or less would lock Hibiki into teaching Wendy ballet, and she's already agreed to teach Natsuru how to be an idol....This is an awful lot of mentorship.

Almost like she was running her own....

Hm. It's on the tip of her tongue, and will spill over when it's ready. No sense in hurrying it. Hibiki trusts her own brilliance. ]

For now, just go with how you feel. Instincts never lie.

[ She likes that about them. Hers, of course, are exceptionally well-honed.

It's how she could single out Wendy! ]

[Oh, asking Hibiki has certainly crossed Wendy's mind, but it doesn't seem like the kind of thing she should immediately just ask about. For one thing, Hibiki would make it 10x more dramatic than it needs to be, or at least that's how it feels in her gut.]

[For another... Grinning, she winks up at the god.]

If I find a teacher, I'll be sure to surprise you with what I learn.

[There. Hopefully that would take the edge off of any offense she didn't want to deal with.]

[ That wink, that poise. How could Hibiki have failed to consciously notice? In her past life, Wendy was a performer. She has the sense for it. ]

I'm expecting great things.
