Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[Scully's first reaction -- "there's no such thing as mermaids" -- is bitten back unspoken. It's not even the weirdest thing she's heard here. There could be mermaids; there could be all kinds of things.

She can't help glancing again at the scars netting Oona's skin from her throat down.]

What happened?

Humans happened, of course. Can never leave well enough alone! [She says that like she's not the same way but shush.

She settles down a little from where she was getting too huffy and swings her legs irritably] ...Was captured. Was not old enough to know most magics to leave so soon. But, remembered enough, eventually. Removed tail to get legs, to run. But found me again, took my tail.

So, when escaped again, could not find it. And now am here. [She gestures around the area, bitter.] Without tail. Still.

[Mermaids. Mermaids with removable tails -- removable by magic, apparently. It's like a selkie legend, but Scully's seen all kinds of people here. She just nods, at last, in acceptance.]

There's no magic you can use to get it back?

[mermaiding]

No. Need that scale. At least, as far as I know... Do not know. [She sighs, realizing with a start of aggravation that there's a lot she really doesn't know because she didn't have the time to learn it.]

But, it is in other world, now, supposedly. Can not feel it here, so it is not here. [She gestures to her legs with a bitter look.] Stuck. As stupid human. [Full Offense Meant.]

[Full offense taken. On the other hand, she did get kidnapped at an early age, experimented on and apparently disfigured by humans, so Scully confines herself to a very sarcastic:] What an awful fate.

... You can still swim, though, you know.

[There's plenty of ocean.]

[Oona is quiet a moment, looking sullen]

...Is not the same. Is not my ocean. This is new world, it... What if it does not feel same...? [She trails off, mumbling to herself.]

[Scully's silent as Oona mutters to herself, shooting her a sympathetic glance. It's not a concern she can just wave off. She doesn't know what it's like to swim in the ocean, much less to do it as a half-fish (or half-whatever, but Oona had said scales.)]

Maybe not. I'd say it's better than nothing, though. You can go wherever you want to here.
