Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

When he let go, the blaze of light died down to a faint glow. She hadn't mastered the teleporting quite yet, but she had other ways of making up for it. Leona let the ancient creature that lived in her mind merge its sense with hers. Just a bit. She could see Dokugakuji's heart beating in his chest. Hear the blood surging through his veins. The fires of battle lust surrounded him uncertainly. It let her get a feel for what he intended to do next a split second before he actually did it.

She advanced on him determinedly, but with a modicum of caution. He had switched from a sword to a staff, and she wasn't sure what that meant. The oversized shield advanced on him once more, glinting in the strange light of the heavens. Her sword peaked around it, ready to thrust the moment she saw an opening.

Dokugakuji has to give it to her. She's clearly a trained soldier. The way she retaliates, comes after him so soon after the tactical shift... it's the kind of thing he got used to appreciating about the Sanzo Party when he had to go up against them time and again. And if she can sense what he's about to do, well, there's not much he can do about that. He has no shields or other defenses for that sort of thing.

Dokugakuji does try to brace against her shield with his staff, sending one end out against her and leaving the staff to one side in an attempt to keep them a little further apart. It's rough on his hands, but he's been fighting for years; his calluses can take a little of such abuse. However, she'll find it a little too easy to throw his pinprick of force on her shield to the side and catch him open.

She slowed for a second when the staff hit. An extending staff. Wasn't there some kind of ape creature from Ionia with a weapon like that?

Of course, all it took was angling the shield a bit and letting the staff slide off it and past her to continue her advance. A staff that long wasn't a very useful weapon at close quarters, so unless he had any more tricks, she was just going to impale him when she got close enough.

Not ACTUALLY impale him but like pretend training impalement.

Dokugakuji feels the 'impalement' quite strongly and drops to his knees with a deep grunt. "Phew! Got me good there..." Yeah he'll just sit here on his knees to catch his breath for a second. "Gimme a sec and I'll ask for best two out of three." But right after this he'll need a break with how hard he's been driving himself - at least to get some water.
