revolutionfalcon: (last chance)

[Given the distinct lack of other people in the park at this point, Shun hears Ren coming down the path well in advance, and turns his attention from finishing up something on the table to Ren. He was expecting a fairly prompt response given the nature of the request, so he doesn't look particularly surprised, instead reaching back onto the table to pick up what it was he was just finishing up with.

It's one of the actual nice-looking arrangements he's managed so far, and it's also rather obviously geared with Ren's interests in mind from having caught him staring at the garden at least once. The middle of the arrangement is red spider lilies, with an outside ring of mountain lilies, and there's a black ribbon woven between the stems to keep the whole thing together in a way that looks a bit more competent than the tape or string Shun had definitely considered before today. Turning the bunch of flowers, Shun offers Ren the end.]

I suppose you could call that picture a bribe already, but you stare at my garden often enough I figured you'd want to walk away from this with something. [There's that faint dry note Shun tends to get when he's not fully serious; they've had the conversation about bribes before.] Maybe it'll stop you trying to steal all of them.

[Once that's done, he turns away, eyes lingering on the shrine's tiny balcony for a moment. The orange and purple gladiolus arrangement is still there, a gentle breeze ruffling through the petals, but he drags his attention away after that second, his tone attempting to be of a more usual dismissive detachment, but failing rather obviously.]

...If I take as long to do something with all these as it took me to finish that thing, I'm going to be here until morning. [As much as he does need Ren's help with the flowers, it may not be hard to read from his determined ignorance of the purple and orange arrangement that there might be another reason he asked Ren specifically.]
