By this point, he's just finishing up the last few bits of the weaving, and draws the tails of the ribbons out of the stems so he can set about figuring out how to knot four ribbon-ends together. After a moment or two, he just decides to go with the obvious method, putting a gold and black end together in each hand and then tying the sets of two together as if they were just one ribbon.]
Anyway, speeding things up was mostly what I wanted out of this, and we managed that.
