Summary: So many shrines have popped up! Go visit your homelands!



The Heavens have received reports of many shrines to the "new gods" they are harboring appearing all over the world. These shrines seem to be additional, new shrines to those gods. Older shrines to those gods still exist, but these ones are shiny, new, and way more compatible with the "new gods". God characters, as well, will have felt the sudden pull towards their homelands and be compelled to travel to them. But the Heavens have taken it a step farther, offering the Meeting Hall as a place for gods and shinki to group up and go out for the day to the various places that are now calling out to them.

Please ignore the fact that they are mostly doing this so that you all will collect information for them without their begging for it or having to reward you.



Meeting Hall

The Meeting Hall is being used as a sort of hub right now. Any groups that are planning to meet up and travel together can meet here, but you might also find someone who's going somewhere you'd like to and tag along with them. Additionally, the Heavens have provided packed lunches for everyone to take with them, should they desire to. This also serves as a meeting place for all of the new gods and shinki.

Locals

Local pantheons have been alerted to the impending visitors. They are happy to welcome their brethren home and are likely to make a big fuss about their brothers and sisters staying with them. Local gods are welcome to be interpreted however you would like, just be sure not to NPC any god that is already taken by a god player. Also, you may find yourself running into some local spirits during your sight-seeing - including local ayakashi and various folklore spirits.

Flyers

They may not stick out at first, but those who are paying attention will notice that there are a large number of flyers being left around at their new shrines. Heck, even walking through the human towns, you will find flyers scattered on the ground and pinned to cork boards and nailed to telephone poles. All bear the same message: "Down with the Heavens. Down with Amaterasu." The locals gods are well versed in the flyers, saying that there have been some strange characters around throwing these flyers at anyone who will give them the time of day. Even humans will note that some shady-looking people have been putting up these strange posters.

Destruction

Whether you return early because of boredom, never left because you're uninterested, or late because you've been having fun, the middle of the night will bring an interesting sight to all. The Heavens will find themselves under attack - in the form of a large fire set at the temple of Amaterasu herself. The entire home is going up in flames and no one knows where Amaterasu is. They're asking for help in dousing the fire or even entering the burning home to find the small goddess and possibly look for the saboteurs, though the only people who are still around are Amaterasu's shinki, in varying states of distress and consciousness.

Note: Who will discover Amaterasu will be decided randomly on 3/20/17 OOC. At that point, a follow-up post will be made by Amaterasu herself.

[Jeep spreads his wings, hopping from Hakkai's shoulder into the air, and considers Lux for a moment before circling down to try to help take the offered lunch from her. Hakkai laughs lightly, and reaches out to accept it.]

Oh dear, before he drops it...

[To be fair- Chikusa hasn't gotten the connection between the small girl who'd shoved her way into 'friendship' spot and the head of the Heavens either. But it's that latter thing he's most interested in.]

[....And being stopped, too, he guesses, and he has the most dead expression on his face as he looks back at Hibiki.]

[Forrest glances down at the shoes, bending down to pick them up. If she doesn't want them, he's not going to just leave them here.]

Are your feet all right? You looked like you were in pain before.

[....At this point, is this sort of thing really surprising? Chikusa is going to say 'no'.]

[Either way, he's just going to blandly point in one direction.]

A woman with short brown hair.... and her shinki who wears glasses and has a mark on his face.... Them, probably.

[Chikusa, Yuri is filling in for a Mexican god, not- sigh.]

[He glances at the drooping shinki between them: she's in no state to answer questions. It's not far to the edge of the courtyard, which should be a safe enough place to set her down and check her for injuries.]

Let's put her over there. This can't have been an accident.

It's a church dedicated to the Archangel Raphael.

[She has so many creative ways around calling herself a god these days.]

[Casually pushing away the head of his leashed goat (don't ask, Ekko) so that it doesn't eat the paper, Chikusa tilts his head to look at the flyer.]

...They're everywhere. Even in restaurants.... I've actually heard even mortals talking about them.

[The way Luna perks up immediately at the sound of Noctis' voice should be all the evidence he needs that she remembers him. And as she turns to look at him, the edges of her eyes begin to well up with tears as the surprise and relief registers on her face. She has to take a moment to gather herself, wiping at the corners of her eyes before answering him, but when she does it's with a nod and a big bright smile.]

Noctis... it's really you, isn't it?

Destruction

[Leo isn't the only one being forced to retreat momentarily by the billowing smoke. With his shirt pulled up to cover the lower half of his face and his ring flickering with the strange sight that is Rain Flames, Chikusa is having to step back too.]

The smoke is what's really troublesome... Wind powers would be useful right now...

[Leo tries to speak, but ends up coughing]

Ugh. Agreed. Gravity--gravity powers only do so much.

[More hacking and wheezing]

Though wind might fan the flames.

We might get trapped too if we try.

[Gritting his teeth, Barry slams his fist against the front gate. Against some part that's not on fire yet.]

Damn it! Isn't there anything we can do?

Oh... I've been managing. And you? [Hakkai's smile is faintly pained. Look: it's about as positive as he can be, right now. It's been a tough morning.

He's still very glad that Gojyo's not abandoned to awful torment somewhere, but. Well. He raises his eyebrows at Ren.]

Inanna -- isn't that right? Middle Eastern...?

[The 'dates' are a hint! There aren't many people here from the area that Ren's replaced deity came, and so it's not one Hakkai has bothered to do as much reading on.]

[He smiles at the familiar contact, thinking.]

I could use them to do some embroidery work, I suppose. I'll have to think about it.

[Which reminds him to duck low, having to keep in mind his lanky height.]

Can you fly?

They're almost certainly lotus seeds, so I think they would do better in my temple's garden. But if you'd like one of the flowers once they've grown, I have plenty.

[....You know, he wasn't actually expecting a positive answer there, and Chikusa actually glances back towards him.]

[Things Chrome may or may not be surprised about: the fact that Chikusa and Ken seem to have acquired a goat.]

[There's other things, all packed away, but you can't just pack away a goat. So Chikusa is staring at the thing currently nibbling at his shoe laces.]

[ mei stands there with his nose in the air and preening for a solid second until he is denied by both of his rude, terrible shinki--he looks mildly shocked that they didn't actually agree to do it, but. mei is nothing if not used to that treatment (thanks, masa-san!) and he huffs, rolls his eyes, and follows them. ]

You're both terrible at this. [ ok mei. the complaining starts again as he makes his way up the stairs...damn, there are a lot. ] Wait for me, it's my temple!

[ he catches up fairly easily, though, pushing between the two of them to end up a step ahead. ]

Actually, thinking about it, this has nothing to do with flowers, but all the same. Can you please make Niles some new pants? Those striped pants of his are all he seems to wear and we have been here for months now.

I haven't tested my limits, though likely no more than fifteen or so feet. That's about as far around me as it can reach. I see no reason why that would change going up.

Then try and get me high up.... We might be able to see more of the damage than if we just stay on the ground.

[He starts to pull out, trying to get back outside the burning mess that is this Amaterasu's temple.]
