The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

[ At first, he's not sure what he's being yelled at - to be fair it happens quite frequently - so he merely blinks back at him before looking around to see what's the problem. It's not until he looks down at the pool of water running down the wooden finish that he realizes he fucked up. Crap. He instantly lifts the bike up as if that would help but the wheels accidentally hit a hanging lamp sending it swinging as the bulb flickers. Crap! He promptly sets the bike back down and lets go of it before he does something else and the two-wheeler goes crashing down, hitting the ground in a plop of water. ] ........... [ Sorry! ]

[He gives a little shrug of his shoulders. Shit happens, and sometimes shit happens to you. There's not too much he can really do about something like that short of apologies, and those won't actually fix anything.]

Well, anyway, I'm glad someone else gave you the run down. Whatever's happened, hopefully it won't last long.

[ Sitting up lets Bandou know that, yep he's got broken ribs again. So he's clutching an arm over his midsection as the last of the water comes up. It takes a few more shaky, gasping breaths before his breathing steadies and he opens up his eyes again. ]

No... not today. Father was turned into a child, but I already took Byrnhildr away from him for safekeeping. He's at his temple reading.

July 16-17 all day | Bitty Yoon | normally handsome_genius

[Yoon wakes up and thinks he's alone. He also thinks this is normal for him. Of course no one else is going to take care of him. And he's incredibly hungry...

The difference is that right now, he's not able to immediately find a field to snatch food out of or a merchant's cart, so he's going for the next best thing.

You can probably find him rummaging through a kitchen or other store room, shamelessly looking for the kind of food that he can store for a very long period of time, or better clothes than the ratty things he's wearing now.

He's also barefoot so it's entirely possible you'll catch him running around and then stub his toe or step on something sharp. While he does tear up and get upset about it, he starts stoically walking on the wound anyway, since he's unable to treat it.

Yoon might find a well or lake to try and at least wash off in, if he thinks no one's looking, and let his clothes dry as well while he pokes at the cuts on his feet. He definitely won't speak unless spoken too, but he's also easily spooked and may try to run away if not approached kindly.]

Yeah....Aymeric going to be upset when he sees the temple but when I tried to clean it up I broke the table...

[So he sort of just left it like that because trying to help just made it that much worse. But it's the stern look and the way Yukine scowls him that makes Goten blink slowly. Yukine was nicer to him when he was smaller.]
