Well... I think it's harder to know when shinki disappear, honestly. I try to meet a lot of them. Sometimes I'm not sure if I'll see them again and they've just been keeping quiet in their new temple, or that sort of thing.
Meanwhile, when a god disappears, their whole temple disappears too. [She's not happy as she explains that.] So for a shinki... they've lost their new home, their... friend or master or something, someone you had a close bond with. Even if it was forced. A lot of shinki end up staying close with any shinki they had before, but sometimes they get assigned to different gods... so it probably feels like a family getting split up. And they've lost their belongings too, any sort of tie they had to this place when that's kind of all we have right now.

A god may feel some of that sadness when a shinki disappears, but because their temple stays... they can deal with those feelings however they need to. And we may never find out about it.
