Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[ He takes the sandwich he was reaching for also, tucks it away for later, and then reaches for the cheesy cake. It does look like cheese. But is it also a cake? It smells creamy and sweet. ]

[That's what matters, right? Since you're so smart as to smell it first.]

Zeno never had it before coming to heaven, so it must be heavenly. [Citation needed.] Zeno is supposed to be a goddess who serves nectar, the gods' favorite drink. Perhaps it's like that.

[ Good enough for him! He thinks it smells very good too, though he's not sure if it's heavenly, having never been to heaven before (as far as he's aware, anyway!) Nectar he does know though, if he means fruit nectar. He breaks off a piece (very squishy) and pops it into his mouth. His eyes widen. ]

Oooooh.

[ Okay, so maybe not fruit nectar, but definitely just as good! ]

Yum!!

[This is his domain, right? Youth and serving the heaven-dwellers. Maybe that's why he was brought to this heaven, to have that connection...?]

Nothing else to say about that, hmm? [He scans the rest of the spread.]

Zeno needs to find something tastier. Something that will produce actual words...

[ ooc: Hahahahaha. Yup, that was necessary ]

[ He grins. ]

I thought it was real good, is that enough words?

[ But he's not going to object to more food, of course not. He'll scan the table too, eager to see what Zeno will pick out for him. ]

Don't you wanna eat something too?

Zeno's been eating things from these people for weeks. This is more fun.

[He says that, but then he spots a fruit tart, with pears and peaches. And there's only one left. He points it out.]

Zeno will eat that one.

Mmm, yeah that one looks good.

[ Goku is a big fan of fruits, especially peaches. He scarfs down the rest of the cheesy cake and then gets back to the sandwich he had in his hand. Hey, training makes a guy hungry, okay? ]

So do they feed us like this all the time? Hehe. Maybe it's not so bad being dead.

Mm, if your god doesn't feed you, come find Zeno anytime! But this is a special occasion that their ladyships get together... maybe it will be more often, soon.

[He doesn't see much more with peaches, but pushes some chocolate-covered strawberries into arm's reach casually. And heroically represses anything he might say about the not-badness of being dead. Or about eating things that are poisonous...]

Don't say things like that where people can hear you. They might get ideas.

My god's real nice. [ He doesn't think he'd ever not feed Goku. That would be really uncool, and he doesn't think Ren's like that. However, that doesn't mean he won't take up Zeno on his offer. ]

But uh, I'll definitely come find you anyway, if I ever get hungry. Or even just to hang out. I dunno about ships, but I'm just glad they put stuff out like this.

[ He pauses at the last remark, though. ]

...what do you mean ideas?

Zeno's not prone to such ideas, so it's hard to say.

[But he'd rather no one test the limits of death here. Or how bad it could be.]

Hanging's fine! Zeno's the god of youth, so spending time with all the young people is the most fun!

What did they make you do, to work up such an appetite?

Oh.

[ Goku could have sworn Zeno did have an idea, but now he's not so sure. ]

I was working on borderlines. But I think I was hungry before that, too. I'm glad I get hungry, though. Haha.

[ He laughs. But something inside him seems to say that never wanting to eat would just be sad. After all, food is tasty and definitely one of the best things about being alive. ]

Eating's only fun if you take time to savor every taste, though! Can't be too fast.

[ He says this with great confidence, because he's quite sure it's true. ]

I mean, liking the flavor and eating stuff fast. Anyway, the faster you eat, the more you can taste, right? [ This makes perfect sense to his mind. ]

Aaaah, you must have a stronger tongue than Zeno does. Zeno would be afraid of everything passing so fast over it, there would be no taste at all!

[ He's never had to teach himself how to taste food, after all. He just knew how. ]
