Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki



The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.

The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.




God Training

Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.

Shinki Training

Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Rest and Refreshments

There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[ He glances over her at that, however. ] What about you? Are you here training, or are you looking for a new god too?

[Homura bristles at the thought of it, but her expression remains as placid as ever.]

I'm here to train. My gods are still here.

[ Well, at least she lucked out there. Although he blinks for a moment. ]

Wait, gods? You have more than one?

[ He's heard that could be a thing, but she's the first person he's met that can actually claim to have done it. ]

Yes.

My first and his little sister.

[thevanguard]

[ Yata blinks at her a moment before leaning forward curiously. ]

Does that work out alright? I mean, there's all sorts of rumors about that, for both ways. Is it harder than just having one?

[timeshields]

It's not as though they're going to fight each other. It's been fine.

[thevanguard]

I dunno, some siblings fight a lot, right? I guess you lucked out that yours don't have a rivalry or anything. That could get messy.

[timeshields]

I've never seen these two fight.

[But Nanako is like six or seven.]

[thevanguard]

[ To be fair, he's got no idea who Nanako is, so. ]

Like I said, you probably lucked out, then. Although man, I'm a little jealous. [ He adds this with a wry grin, rubbing at the back of his neck. ]

[timeshields]

[And he probably never will.]

It's unfortunate to lose your god.

[thevanguard]

[ Probably only by reputation. She is collecting all his castmates, after all... ]

Yeah, it sucks. Some people said I should choose my own instead of waiting to see, but...

[timeshields]

... Do you not know any gods?

[thevanguard]

[ He huffs out a sigh. ]

Not many. I haven't been here very long yet. And the one I do know... [ He's not certain that signing up to be another shinki for Mikoto is a good idea. ]

[timeshields]

You don't trust the other one?

[thevanguard]

I don't know. He's a weirdo!

[ How's that for honesty? ]

[timeshields]

[Well.]

Gods can be weird.

[thevanguard]

He blew up his temple. Twice. And he took a nap while there was an ayakashi chewing on his throat.

[timeshields]

[Wh..at...]

I wouldn't trust a god like that.

[thevanguard]

Heh. Told you he was weird.

[timeshields]

How did you meet him?

[thevanguard]

Eh? He found me, not long after I got here. I think his fire power is sorta similar to what I have? Anyway, he promised to show me how to use it once I figured out how to control it.

[ Something he sounds rather annoyed about, actually? ]

[timeshields]

You don't like sharing a power with him?

[thevanguard]

What? [ He blinks, then shakes his head. ] No, I think I share it with a couple people. I just wish he'd keep his word.

[timeshields]

Has he not done it yet?

[thevanguard]

No. [ he huffs out another sigh. ] The time I went to go ask him about it was the time I found him napping with an ayakashi. And when I thought I'd help by setting the thing on fire and getting rid of it, he got pissed and yelled at me.
