May Training
Who: Everyone
What: Information and Training
When: July 15
Where: Bishamon's temple, the Far Shore
Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki

The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.
The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.

God Training
Shinki Training
Physical Training

- Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.
Shinki Training
- Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.
Physical Training
- The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.
Rest and Refreshments
- There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.
There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

In Summary:
- Get all the information you can handle
- Veteran new gods and shinki are welcome to volunteer showing the ropes
- Get in some training
- Don't get dehydrated
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

[ Man, almost all of them? Shizuo's starting to wonder if he's the only one that hasn't met this Yukine person. ]
Sounds like he's pretty busy, if he's teaching so many people.
no subject
[He giggles a bit, kicking his feet a little but careful enough not to kick Shizuo's face or slam the heels of his feet into his collar bone.]
Yeah but you should learn from him too. Besides, the stronger you get the better you can protect people you care about right?
no subject
[ Hard to tell with the way they've managed to go, and what happens during their fights. Save for the part about his body acting on its own. That's not a surprise anymore. Just like how it wouldn't be a surprise if Goten did slam his heels into his collarbone and Shizuo didn't notice. That's just how he worked at this point. ]
Yeah. I wouldn't bother learning or training with any of this if I wasn't trying to protect someone. I don't really wanna add to the kid's workload, but I'll think about it.
no subject
[Goten gets not wanting the hurt people but fighting is fun. At least to him. He wants to get stronger and training is sort of more of a game then anything]
Mmmm, if you don't ask Yukine, I'll do it for you and I'll teach you everything I learn to, okay? That way you're not missing out!
no subject
[ Then again, if it were a feasible way to be, he'd just bask in the sun all the time and not do much else. So a portion of that could be his 'take it easy' personality. ]
And I don't know how much that'd work. You're at a way more advanced point than me. Either you won't be getting better, or I'll have too much trouble to keep up. Like I said, I'll think about it.
no subject
[It's a guess anyway. But the last bit makes him frown. He grabs a fist full of Shizuo's hair, tugging lightly on it]
I wanna hang out and train with you. I'm starting to think you don't wanna hang out with me. All that other stuff doesn't matter as long as one of us is getting better and we're having fun.
no subject
[ That hair tug might've worked if Shizuo was able to really feel it. The sensation was almost the same as Goten resting his head, in the sense that there was some kind of pressure there.
However, that does get Shizuo to feel a little guilty. ]
It's nothing like that, Goten. Ah, it might surprise you, but... I don't really have the best social skills. I'm not good with words or getting what I mean across to people, either. I'd feel bad because it'd seem like I was holding you back or something.
no subject
[He's not sure if that's coming across right but he shifts and slides off Shizuo's shoulder, floating around to the front of Shizuo, flapping his arms a bit]
It's easy to talk to you and if I mess up or explain something wrong I know you won't be mad so it sorta helps us both out. I wanna learn stuff with you, Shizuo. C'mon, pleaseeeee!
no subject
[ No, really. While it was obvious that Goten liked learning ways of getting stronger and 'better,' and improving with people through different kinds of training, he didn't realize that Goten actually wanted to teach.
Poor kid must be frustrated beyond anything. He really screwed things up in a way that he hadn't expected. ]
Just... Know that there's gonna be some things that I'll probably be bad at, no matter how well you teach. Okay?
no subject
[Goten blinks slowly, lifting an arm to scratch the back of his head. The words came out without much thought put into them. It didn't change anything, but now that he was thinking about it...]
I like learning stuff but Izumo and everyone else have taught me a lot. Izumo and Hakkai are super good teachers and I donno....I sorta wanna do good stuff like that...like Izumo does!
[He looks up a lot to his best friend. Izumo is a teacher so naturally Goten wants to more or less go in that direction to. Be careful Shizuo, you might fall into that too and he might want to pick up some of that.]
It's okay I'm bad at stuff do. As long as you try, that's what matters. You just can't give up or beat yourself up about it, okay?
[Goten grins up at him]
no subject
Who said anything about giving up? If I was doing that, it'd just let you down.
[ Which he doesn't mean to do- at least he'd never do so on purpose. Though it's been happening more often as time went on, as unintentional as it'd been. ]
How about this- Try to find a time when we're both not busy. We'll figure something out.
no subject
So a time we're not training and busy with other stuff....It doesn't have to be everyday or anything like that either.
[Goten crosses his arms thoughtfully]
no subject
You don't have to figure it out right away. We'll start with figuring out a day for that other thing with the ayakashi first.
