[Closed] A Gathering of Thieves
Who: The Phantom Thieves and their Shinki
What: Information Sharing.
Where: The Far Shore, the Park
When: July 26th, Late Afternoon
Summary: 3 new gods arrive to find that 2 of their closest friends are dead, and they are responsible
for two other people as well. A talk is needed.
Warnings: Major Persona 5 Spoilers in comments, also probably language.
[Arriving here with little warning had been jarring enough, but when the Phantom Thieves realized that they weren't alone, and that two of their number had no memories, it was time to confer somewhere. Temples and the like had felt a little raw, and not wanting to stray too far from the Far Shore until they had their bearings, the group had gathered in the park. Akira, Ann, Futaba, Makoto, and Ryuji, along with the shinki that had unwittingly become part of their circle, all standing around in a small clearing, talking. It should've been a positive occasion, but there was no denying the shroud that hung over the group. There was a lot to talk about, and things that needed to be agreed upon.
The question was...how to even start?]

[She grimaces. It's a lot to take in under normal circumstances, but so many of the pieces just don't fit together the right way, and she can't help agreeing with Makoto that it just doesn't feel right.
She nods, keeping her own voice low when she responds.]
I can do that. Someone has to let something slip, right? It shouldn't be too hard to find something in someone's story that sticks out as useful.
[She sighs, smiling wryly a moment after.]
Monsters, huh. You really think we can handle them?
no subject
I do. I know I may not look it, but I know my way around a fight. So does Ryuji. We have a few tricks up our sleeves, and I think you and the others will find you do too.
[She smiles and automatically adds to make sure it's clear she's not talking about the past:]
I know Shinki are given special powers. Have you discovered yours yet?
no subject
Not yet. I was practicing Borderlines with Shion earlier, but I haven't found anything uniquely mine so far. We've all got vessel forms, too, which is... weird, to say the least.
[Uncomfortable. She's not sure how she feels about Ryuji toting her around in his hand.]
no subject
[Just...yeah...]
I'm actually not sure how to feel about that. Akira is a knife, and that's...weird. But Mabel's is a sweater. I'm not sure if I feel okay literally wearing someone else.
[That's probably the best way to describe this stuff.]

[Look, she knows they're not great options, but... maybe a little less weird?]
I'm some kind of blade, too. Uh-- one that breaks apart? It's like half-sword, half-whip.
[If only she knew how well she could actually wield one of those.]
no subject
[Uh. Sorry, she figures that's going to cause a record scratch moment.]
no subject
[Come again, Makoto?]
